Pruitt is used to coaching big boy football at FSU, Georgia and Alabama. And that’s what he brought to UT and it was working until the last two games from last season. That’s when the disconnect between him and the players began.

Pruitt is an excellent football coach. He’s said repeatedly that UT has extremely low talent to compete in the SEC. This is not 1998. It’s twenty years of mediocrity that someone has to clean up.

I think he has a good understanding of reality. UT isn’t very good.

Maybe his new line should be UT has extremely low talent to compete in the Sun Belt.

I haven’t always agreed with Boston Vol but on this topic I’m 100 % in agreement with him. It’s absolutely ludicrous to think that TN doesn’t have enough talent to compete with GA State. That fiasco yesterday was ALL on the coaching staff. It is clear that the current and previous coaches don’t have a clue how to utilize the talent we have. I imagine there are quite a few top 25 teams who wish they had our talent but are still overachieving because they are coaching their players up. Do you think Chris Petersen at Washington has a team full of 4-5 stars? No we don’t have Bama or Georgia’s talent but let’s quit pretending like we are completely void if any talent whatsoever.

I get the disappointment of the loss, its really bad, its bad enough that crying about his emotions just seems stupid to me.

My wife is a die hard gators fan. She has had to temper me since Saturday. I’m not a fair the coach guy. Damn we have some kind of serious problem here though. Coaching?? Talent?? I dunno. We don’t know. What I do know is we have to get it fixed. My die hard gator fan wife feels sorry for all of us. That’s simply unacceptable!!
