What is the team doing this morning?

Anything short of a player called meeting at 5:30AM, followed by an ass chewing by whoever among them has leadership skills is unacceptable. After yesterday’s play I wonder if they are in their safe space with crayons and stuffed unicorns!

Ass chewing...haha.
Is that going to make a QB change???
Is that going to teach the D-Line technique?
Is it going to bring Bryce Thompson back?
Is it going to make Darrell Taylor, Will Ignot, or Nigel Warrior better open field tacklers haha?

We've got exactly one chance to possibly get better this year. Possibly!

Play Maurer now.
Make Eric Gray and Chandler co-starters

Make all the Freshman currently in the two deep on defense starters! They are not yet accustomed to losing!
What good is having experience if it's comprised of losing and giving up???

I'm agreeing with you, I just dont understand how that happened? Chaney is a proven coach, Tee is proven........hell, I dont think Pruitt is the answer, but he at least had the teams prepared for most of the games last year. Auburn and Kentucky specifically. Where was even a 1/4 of the desire and drive from those games displayed yesterday? It's like everyone was sleep walking. I hope and pray with all of my might that the team literally came out expecting to just truck Ga St (just like we thought) and got knocked on their keesters. I'm hoping this was a wake up call and all this "talent" is going to wake up for the rest of the year. Regardless, this season is marred by this unacceptable loss. I'm ready for Preds and Titans.
Tee is proven? They wouldn't even let him call plays at USC. He's a recruiter.

Yea, I read that differently than the way you meant it, but still, I don't know anything about their effort during the off season in the S&C program and if it had anything to do with them not having faith in Pruitt.

What I saw last night wasn't lack of effort in S&C from the off season.

The last 3 quarters yesterday combined with the last 2 games last year verify everything I'm saying (and have been saying)....

I maintained the same attitude all off season. I would be okay with as few as 5 wins in 2019,.......as long as they fought like the third monkey trying to get on Noah's Ark Every Single Game.

They disappointed in the very first game in a fashion I didnt even consider.

Yet a sizeable percentage of VN posters will still attempt to explain this away. Never anyone's fault, just "bad luck."

We caught a bottom-tier SBC school "at a bad time." :p

Then they shouldn’t be here. They’re the players, it’s ultimately on them to represent the University on the field. If they don’t like the coaching staff transfer or go the Jalen Hurd route and straight up quit.

And yes, I’m aware we need to have higher quality coaches. But simply not trying just because you don’t like the staff isn’t the way to go.
We need higher quality standards above any specific coaching staff

Agreed.

I’m sure that when JG said that they “weren’t prepared” he was actually saying “we weren’t given any indication that Georgia State needed to be taken seriously as the coaching staff was openly using the game to tinker with lineups in actual preparation for the REAL game next week.”

If the coaching staff wasn’t serious enough about Georgia State to have a game plan outside of “let’s work on how we’ll line up against BYU,” I'd fully expect the team to feel like they weren’t prepared — FOR GEORGIA STATE.

All I want to hear from JG’s mouth is his acknowledgment that he played like hot garbage and takes full accountability for getting better bc the buck stops with him as our QB. Anything else earns ZERO respect from me.

My inside sources say the coaches are wiping their tears and asses with $100 bills and the players are snapchatting pics of the girls they banged last night and laughing about how important all this is to the fools that pay for to watch that circus.

I don’t disagree but if someone on the team isn’t pissed offi enough to call everybody out then nothing will help. If they truly don’t care it’s over no matter who WB is. And I am on record saying anyone but JV at this point

It sure would be nice if they would stop adjusting their efforts based on whether or not they like the coaches. We heard this same crap under Dooley, Jones, and now Pruitt. It’s like a soap opera

That is why this is nothing but a false excuse. I don't know why the program sucks like it does. Probably too many reasons. Whereas we used to look at Nebraska and think, "Man, I hope we don't go into the abyss like them", well we are in the abyss.

He's worse than Felipe Franks.
He's played far too much.
He needs to sit right on that bench a clap for his team and cheer them on.

Enough is enough damn!

My sources tell me Pruitt got up early this morning to see if the sun came up. It in fact did, affirming his belief that everything is hunky-dorey!

Janice Guarentrina has spent a bulk of his day sulking and sending emails out to various media explaining the proper pronunciation of his name.
