Because your post is too stupid to take seriously

Do you have a better explanation? You don't think the Bama bag men could afford it? Do you think they've forgotten about Fulmer turning them in?

Here's another question: tell me one plausible reason they hired Butch Jones.

We've been taken. Nicely done, Bubbas.

He needs to make wholesale changes in players or he is wanting to be fired.. he don't give a ish and you can tell

As much as I would love for Pruitt to start packing tomorrow, the more realistic scenario is that he keeps his job for now and Fulmer performs a serious assessment of the state of the program after the Georgia game. The direction of things after that game will determine a lot.
Fulmer never performed a serious assessment of the state of his OWN program after the unacceptable 2001 SECCG meltdown that started our whole downward spiral in the first place. What makes you think he’s willing or able to do so now?

GA ST is the worst loss in our program’s history by a mile. Somebody posted earlier it’s now going down in history as the 4th worst loss by a P5 program ever. Don’t know if that’s true but if so congrats to Pruitt & Co.

The only one on your list that comes close is North Texas. But as I recall Majors’ mercurial / bipolar Vols team was coming off a deflating beatdown by Bama the week before after we had already beaten LSU and Auburn and were on our way. Also North Texas was coached by Haden Fry who would go on to become a legend at Iowa and he was coaching two of his sons on that team as well. So we were ripe for an ambush.

Good context here. Pruitt would do well to at least acknowledge the true nature of this loss in the context of program history. Glossing over it as an average loss that you take and learn from is insufficient at best. And yes, I am saying an apology is in order.

Were playing a nobody team that runs an option, with a new D line and a New OC anybody that thought this team was gonna come out on fire was kidding themselves.

Then add in this is still mostly a BJ team with only one full class of real talent that are all Freshman starting their first college game and yeah this was gonna be another rough year.

No, just No. We just got our azzes handed to us by Ga. freaking St. The same old turd polishing doesn’t fly anymore.

I wonder if people are factoring in buyout/ financial logistics when voting here bc I don't see how any sane person could actually think he should still be our head coach

Even if they are thinking about it from a financial perspective, keeping Pruitt for 2 more years will be a net financial loss if attendance continues to drop. We only had 70,000 for the home opener this year. Ticket sales, merch profits, stadium vending profits, all of these will decrease over time with the product that Pruitt is putting on the field.

Accountability and perspective is what I’m looking for. We are TENNESSEE not Hoover High or wherever. It’s time our Bammer HC got a tough lesson from all of us about TN pride and football history!

70,000 in the FIRST GAME we served alcohol. Even the booze wasn’t enough to draw the fans

The fact that he hasn't seemingly hit the panic button repeatedly since around the start of the 4th quarter is as alarming as the outcome/coaching/play yesterday. He's losing his program and seems to either not realize it or not care, and VOL fans are the biggest loser in the deal.

Not yet. He gets a chance to prove alot of us wrong. Plus, you don't fire mid-season. Who would get the reins? Chaney? Hmmm........Isn't he undefeated?

Why don't we just hire the sweaty guy from Georgia State? Would be kind of cool having a really really wired sweaty coach and tons of memes would be made
Trust me, I’m sure we found our way into plenty of memes after this one.🤪
GBO!!

Coach Pruitt has taken every single shred of goodwill he had built up through the offseason and set fire to it. I have no idea what he was thinking with this gameplan but it has cost him dearly. It's down to BYU now. Lose that one and only a real-live, honest to god, walking on water type miracle will save him.

I’m over this insane buyout money for mediocre coaches as well! There should be a clause in their contracts that if you lose to a crap team like Georgia state, you forfeit x amount of the years salary.
GBO!!

Fulmer should be more critical than nurturing behind the scenes with Pruitt and his jobs program staff. Considering that any advice is coming from some who was fired after an all-time loss, I'm not hopeful for the former. In short, we're stuck with Pruitt.
