2. Creating more turnovers and explosive play than the opponent.
3. Protect the passer, and pressure the opponent’s into making mistakes getting sacks and interceptions.

Didn’t have any QBs left in his first season so there was no choice. They don’t make a bowl in the second season without his breakout performance, and if they go bowl less two straight, Butch is out one year earlier imo. There was no perfect timetable to be had with Dobbs...cept maybe play him earlier (like against Ole Miss) instead of trying to milk Worley’s shoulder which never had anything after the adrenaline wore off post Georgia injury.

This is what I'm concerned about: that we're anointing a guy that, even if he does his job well, won't fill up the stat sheet. He just needs to hold the line, occupy space, and free up lanes for our talented LBs. WNML talked a lot about this yesterday. He's extremely important to us, and the only DT with any real experience, but he's not going to be in the backfield play after play. I just hope we don't slam the kid when he's not our leading tackler every game.
