I didn’t know I was going to be subjected to a semester load of baby classes. This wasn’t told to me beforehand. I’d be fine if we only had one.
So how does the law work in a case where a women makes the statements she made to the police while wanting a restraining order
“he has a history of violence against me and others. He has physically slapped me, choked me, and thrown me around. I fear for my safety, and am constantly looking over my shoulder.”
Does she have to press charges for police to go further?
Great post..100% agreeIt will blow over here as well. He argued with girls and said some things he shouldn't have, before and now again. That's it. He didn't beat anyone or rape anyone. Oh no, let's send him to Alcatraz! Society is so lame these days. I'm with Saban on this stuff, instead of kicking him off the team maybe we should help him? Oh gee, seems like such a wild idea, huh?
Let the twitter justice warriors have their misery parade for a few more days and it'll go away. Get the kid some counseling, suspend him for a game or two and coach/teach/mentor him into being a good person. Or we could just kick him off and rejoice with the Dan Wolkens of the world...
In the state of TN, there doesn’t have to be criminal charges for an order of protection to be issued. The burden is lower as well because it’s a civil issue although a violation of an order of protection is criminal.
In order for one to be issued based on physical harm or fear of physical harm, it has to be domestic abuse. That is, they have to be related or have an intimate relationship. The only way you can get one without being domestic abuse is if you show that the other party was stalking you. Stalking is defined u see the law.
Which is why Sleegro said there is 4 more years to work on it. Not everyone gets it immediately like HT. Too soon with the doom. Concern? Yesthis is not about how much time he has to play... who cares... this is about how much time he has been part of this program and still seems to be sputtering and not making an impact. Yes, he's been dinged up, but a kid with this much potential coming in should be playing a bigger role in the program by now.
As I said, we'll see how it plays out and where he ends up, hope he finds his lane/groove and eventually balls for us.... but as of today, it doesn't sound like he's anywhere close.
