Nobody is playing dumb.

I don't think anyone would be too surprised if there was conclusive proof he did actually say it about shooting up the school.

I think the pushback you're getting is over reasonable doubt in a court of law and that even if he did say it; nobody perceives that threat said in anger as literal intent. Even though in all probability he didn't mean it if he actually said it, we're all acutely aware of how volatile a topic mass shootings are in today's social climate.

The concern is a student body kangaroo court ruining his life over a threat he didn't mean just because he plays football, so they can virtue signal their woke idealism.

It doesn’t take a genius to walk over and see the guy who is still yelling and ripped a gate off. He was charged with DA for a reason. If they weren’t able to legit ID him he wouldn’t have been.

Well, he definitely won’t be playing against Georgia State. His court date is 3 September.

Even if he gets out without anything on his record he will be made to take anger management classes, community service, and extra (conditioning training).

So doubtful he will be back for the BYU game. I would assume he will be back by either game 3 or game 4.

Using this “he was charged for a reason” wouldn’t it cause some pause that he wasn’t charged with making a threat to shoot up the school?

Has everything to do with it and shockingly you are missing this point. Thompson hasn’t been proven to have done a damn thing other than what he has admitted to.......but you are convinced we are all idiots and he definitely did everything because 2 random witnesses say they overheard it. You still don’t see the point in all of this?

If he said the part about shooting up the University then the University has no other
Choice but to dismiss him. If he meant it or not makes no difference. The school cannot take that chance..public outcry would be devastating to the University.

This is so ****ing stupid. According you and your cronies the witnesses mistaked Thompson for another guy in a stairwell, ripping the gate off it’s hinges, and threatening his gf and threatening to shoot up the whole school. Bryce just happened to walk into the wrong stairwell at the wrong time.

You’re assuming those two people walked over there, for all we know they made the call from their dorm rooms without ever leaving their room.

You’re making a lot of assumptions man. All we know is the gf said that Thompson threatened to slap her, even then she’s fuzzy on that, with that said if the police asked her if she feels threatened they will arrest him with domestic assault, which is what they did.

You obviously don’t understand how the law works in this situation. Again you seem awfully hard up to see this kid get kicked out of school over hearsay.

1) Because he willingly let the police take him in. He probably doesn't poses the knowledge of his legal rights. I'm just guessing.

2) He and the girlfriend both admitted to have an argument.

What do we have so far?
-Girlfriend not physically harmed
-two Not so eye witnesses IDing him.
- a damaged gate that may have been bumped into...
- stories of punched drywall

I believe he did say those things and probably did break the gate. But the girlfriend obviously doesn't want it to go any further.$$$

Girl was not harmed. And is still his girlfriend after all this. The other witnesses didn't really witness anything...even if they are in fact correct. They can't prove it ...

As I said... he's going to pick that bum of a QB Felipe Franks off, twice 😛!
