My take on this is that we’re all blurring rural and country. There’s a lot of country that is nowhere close to being rural. There’s also some really good rural storytelling that doesn’t fit the standard definition of country.

Sturgill is a rural Elvis Costello.

And the familiarity he and Childers have with Coal country gives them an important, genuine voice about an issue that few are familiar with.

I love Major League. The Natural is a story of redemption. It's beautifully filmed. I have seen it no less than 10 times and I still get chills.
