To Protect and to Serve II

I thought I have seen and heard it all. This is one of the scariest videos I've seen... and that is saying a lot. I want to say I saw a scary video like this just last month. Unbelievable...

The lesson is to record everything so some back woods redneck can’t falsely send you to jail.

Cop got away with what?
The "funny" thing is, I've seen people get more with less (in a far worse environment). The police get away with too much here. But hey, just feel threatened and it all goes away

****I'm not anti police by any means, but most local and city departments need far better training than what they get.

Police were called in to do a welfare check on a woman who had passed out near a neighborhood walkway

An officer arrives on the scene where randomly an excited 40 lb lab mix charges the officer

The officer inexplicably turns to full lethal force and shoots at the dog and accidentally kills the woman he was called to help

He's now on paid administrative leave

Arlington fire captain's daughter fatally shot by officer aiming at loose dog

He definitely needs to be charged with manslaughter.

Wtf is with cops shootings dogs? When’s the last time a mailman shot a dog?

Agreed. I've pepper sprayed a few that charged at me, or did the proverbial "circle and look for a good angle", but shoot? No.

When I was younger (if you've noticed, all of my "high speed" memories are at least 10 years old now...lol), I wore the sleeve or the suit and played bad guy for a couple of our K-9's. A good takedown dog can hurt you in a hurry. I've also been there when one of our K-9's took down a suspect, and none of those were pretty. Still, those are trained apprehension dogs. Your average aggressive dog will generally go knee level or below. Most dogs do not like having their feet off the ground, but a trained Sheperd or Mal moving at 20+ mph that launches at you is where the term "fur missile" originated. They're tough, and fearless.

We did a no-knock warrant one time where we knew the suspect had Dobies. Mean ones. We tossed 5 pounds of raw hamburger wadded up in fist-sized balls over the fence; made entry; and were through the door without any trouble. But now that I think of it, we had to spray our way out. ACO was useless. Wouldn't come inside the fence.

Next time, 10 pounds of raw hamburger...

I lost a fur baby to a killer cop. She was on a lead in the backyard with an upset tummy while I ran a 20 minute errand. She barked at the neighbor, who had played with her and knew her, when he came home and he called the cops. He said he got scared because she was bouncing up and down. Cop came around the corner of the house gun drawn and fired at her, she broke her collar trying to get away from him. She was always afraid of really loud noises. He fired twice more and gave chase. She ran about 100 yards to where a friend of mine was and as my buddy was calling her the cop put a bullet in her. She tried to crawl home and he walked up on her and put another round in her. I heard the shots as I was driving back up the street and saw my fur baby laying on the sidewalk. She died in my arms minutes later with a K9 cop crying beside me.

This idiot had three unaccounted for rounds fired in a residential area. Lawyer said it'd be an uphill battle to go after him, so since it was my hometown and I knew people I went on a mission. I knew the current and two previous mayors, some city council members and a police captain. I was able to prove he'd done this before to at least a dozen dog owners, coupled with multiple stray rounds, and we managed to flag his jacket preventing any promotion. Less than a year later he quit and left town.
Over a decade later and to this day it still breaks me down and I hope that sob rots in the deepest pits of hell.

This story just got a lot more strange. I still don’t understand how he shot 6 cops with a rifle and they were all treated and released quickly.
He only shot them with an AR-15, but he was using butter bullets to minimize the damage. The police department would never deceive anyone as to what really happened.

I’m not sure I’d have stayed out of jail in that situation.
