I don't care about the Ocean's 8. But I think a female bond is a dumb move.

If it's done correctly (i.e., without the cringey "wammen rule; men drool" narrative), I have no problem with a female Bond. However, Hollywood casting in this era is more about an actor checking the preferred "boxes" than gauging whether the actor/role is a good fit for the plot.

Whatever happened to the strong female leads (e.g., Ellen Ripley in Alien), that were more about the character/plot than wokeness?

Have you seen the Girl-Boys fight? They slap the s**t out of people. I don't know if it is because men think they are "alternative", that they can't fight, but some of them men-women can throw hands. They seem like they got extra strength or something.

I just figure Grantham will be able to give a freshman QB fits in week 1.

I really like Manny Diaz, and I think he's a great fit for UM as their head coach. I think that most will look past the disaster at Texas during the end of Mack Brown's tenure when he was DC, and rather focus on his overall body of work. Manny will have UM ready to play on Saturday, and I would not be surprised at all if UM gives Florida a run for their money. But with a freshman QB going against one of the best secondaries in the nation, that is a recipe for disaster. Florida is too talented on both sides of the ball, and they should win by double digits.

I think that 7-5 is just as possible as 9-3 for Miami. There's a group of about 5 teams in the ACC (Syracuse, Boston College, NC State, Virginia, and Miami) that are the 2nd tier schools behind Clemson, and any of those 5 teams can beat each other on a given day. As much grief as the SEC gets for our scheduling practices, the ACC is just as bad, if not worse with their scheduling.

Not a MCU fan by any stretch, but I think the product is already waning. They're going to have to invest in better writers and directors to elevate material like Captain Marvel and the Eternals. That's why some obscure comic like Guardians of the Galaxy was so well received. They actually found a director with style and allowed that director to express it. The character roster is going to continue to weaken if they kill off their A level talent (captain america, iron man). With the potential loss of Spider Man on top, they'll have to rethink their strategy.

Or mindless millions will continue to dump their money with anything stamped with a Marvel logo. Seems to work for Star Wars.

My understanding is that Bond is retired at the beginning of the next film and his replacement is a woman. So “007”, as in the position in MI6 is filled by a woman but it’s not actually Bond that’s a woman. Then Bond comes back from retirement and he’s still a guy.

In a normal conversation, you would support your critique and not cry about someone questioning your critique. That is how conversations go. How do conversations play out in your mind?
