Southeastern album is the GOAT. I like Whitey but he doesn’t hold a candle to Isbell. Especially Isbell’s older stuff. His new stuff is hit or miss IMO...

Whitey’s best song is a remake of Townes Van Zandt’s “Waiting Around to Die”.

Brent Cobb, Childers, John Moreland, Turnpike Troubadours, Whiskey Meyers... great time to be a true country music fan.
Big fan of Whiskey Meyers and Childers. Not seen anybody mention Cody Jinks yet though, maybe its just me but i like his style quite a bit.

Maybe... and I’m not about to get political or social hot topic, so I’ll say, PERSONALLY, the new phase of the MCU has me about as excited as a swift kick to the man fruit
Will be really tough to follow up the first few phases. All of the most popular superheroes' arcs are done. Now they've gotta make a bunch of C list heroes (especially if they do lose spiderman for good) and maybe rebooted X-Men carry the MCU until enough time has passed to reboot the good ones.

Guardians 3 coming back and possibly including Thor could be fun, though. And they have done a pretty good job of making surprisingly good movies about heroes that weren't all that popular to begin with. Will probably come down to whether they can cast as well as they did in phase 1 and find new stars charismatic to carry wave 1 of a new 3 part arc.

X-men deserves good movies. I love X-men. Way better than avengers

My good friend is an archive of all things nerd. Guy basically ran a comic book store in HS. As we know Fox could eff up a wet dream, even Fox Sports sucks.

For some reason they have the rights to Xmen and Fantastic Four. App that may change at some point soon? i dunno.

Edit: Prob common knowledge.

Hard to compare the two though, right? The Avengers are an occasional collab of a bunch of Marvel's most popular characters and X-Men has always been written as a story about an ensemble.

It's like comparing a pro or college sports team to an Olympic national team. Sure, they should be better on paper, but that doesn't necessarily make for something more compelling to watch.

My brother and his wife lost twins to a miscarriage today as well. It was very early in the process, which helps a little bit, but no doubt we were all getting excited and it is heartbreaking. Luckily, he has an adorable little girl right now to help ease the sudden loss. Little one is at that really special age where the smiles are simply nonstop. Still, very rough day for VN. Love you all though this is a such an unexpectedly warm community.

Terribly sorry for the lose of such sweet and innocent babies. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and everyone of my VN Brothers and Sisters who have had so many tough and tragic events happen in their lives recently.

Agreed. havent listened to Whitney yet, but Those guys you listed along with a little older stuff like Chris Knight’s Down the River, uncle Lucious keeping the wolves away. Damn good story telling.

There are 130 FBS football teams. The table below shows where we and the teams on our schedule are perceived to be ranked by various analysts on selected metrics relative to the other teams in that 130 team population set.

The team talent is actually 2018 as 247 doesn’t have their 2019 rankings posted yet. They’re close because they have our roster scrubbed and updated so I expect the rankings will be updated to this year any day now. Still, I don’t think there will be all that much movement. Florida may fall a bit but generally most teams are fairly consistent at the level they recruit from year to year relative to everyone else.

It’s just my opinion but I think MSU, UF, and MO are potentially over-rated based on prior years performances and given that our prior years performances weren’t all that hot it’s, again in my opinion, possible that we may be somewhat under-rated coming into this year. Time will tell. #Soon. jmo.
