Thirty odd years ago I made a promise to my Dad. Today I had to keep that promise. My dad has had Dementia for several years his health the few months has steadily declined so today I put him on Hospice care to just keep him comfortable as he slips away. For a brief time today he opened his eyes. I took his hand laid my head on his chest and him I loved him and it was ok to just let go. I cried like a baby (at 61) not ashamed. If your mom and dad are still alive tell them you love while you can.

Prayers for peace and comfort WTV. Been there and agree.

Eh, we'll see. Looks like all the guys they worked there are DEs. Our DEs will occasionally line up in 5 techniques (outside shoulder of OTs). Rocker's specialty has always been with interior DL. Pass rushing techniques for guys on the edge vary a bit from those of interior DL.

We've gotten practice nuggets of defenders working with other position coaches from time to time since Pruitt's been here. Last year we got some nuggets about LBs doing a bit of work here and there with Kelly (former Safeties coach) and didn't see those guys play safety. We've heard about OLBs getting occasional work in ILB drills. We've seen CBs and Safeties cross train all over the place. There is some overlap in what guys at different positions are asked to do. Makes sense that DEs, who will occasionally be lined up as edge defenders, would have some overlap with the responsibilities of OLBs and would benefit from some work with them here and there. JMO but no need to read into it too much.

I'm glad this board is a place where we can talk football, say snarky stuff to each other from time to time, occasionally agree to disagree, but just also be the kind of place where you can just be a good human being to a fellow Vol fan.

I hate it for you all going through tough times right now.

My dad also has dementia, you certainly have my prayers and solidarity.

An ad on Craigs List From the Midday 180 post: Must be from Ben Stancliff ( Sabanoccio). Im sure tons of women have responded. Creepy AF.

Traveling for work, so I’m a few pages behind, but I’m shocked this has only one like. Either @Sleegro appreciates @coskramer spreading the word, or a bunch of you weirdos have tried something similar. I’m not familiar with Craigslist, but love how this dude leads with $1 then says the girl has to cover the cost of the ticket.

I was visiting Knoxville recently and was out driving around so I put the radio on WDVX to hear the Americana mix. Good bit of variation, even some Dylan, some Old Crow, heard some bluegrass... but then I had to listen to Tammy Wynette sing D-I-V-O-R-C-E. People may call that a classic but that is one silly dumbass song.
Reminds me of a certain pair of political figures

You did the right thing as hard as it was. My grandmother went through it and hospice helped a great deal.

Tough day for Volnation
My brother and his wife lost twins to a miscarriage today as well. It was very early in the process, which helps a little bit, but no doubt we were all getting excited and it is heartbreaking. Luckily, he has an adorable little girl right now to help ease the sudden loss. Little one is at that really special age where the smiles are simply nonstop. Still, very rough day for VN. Love you all though this is a such an unexpectedly warm community.

😞, praying for your brother and your sister-in-law. Truly am. Sounds like you are all blessed to have your niece.
