Rybka chosing Kentucky over TN is unsurprising. Big kid, not much technique or particular skillset. Can be soft at times. Think the staff backed off to pursue a more refined product.
no, they wanted him. if you believe what he says, TN was recruiting him harder than KY. again...if you believe him.

personally, i think the staff wanted him. but i don't think they were ready to take a committment today. i also think Rybka just didn't want to play at TN. i think the hometown school stuff didn't set well with him, and he was more than happy to play "the contrarian".

i don't think that's been uncommon for some in state prospects the past few years for several in state prospects.

me too. and i guess if you were wanting to buy time, it's probably not an absolute must that he's getting a ton of snaps against GSU...but you'd have to think that they'd like to get him some live snaps before you get in to the meat of the season.

i'm sure he'll be on a pitch count so to speak....

waiting on answers here, and with solomon, is not a ton of fun, selfhisly speaking that is. lol.

Gonna be interesting to see the approach. He needs to get back in game-mode... but there's a need to mitigate risk. So what's the best way to manage him-- limit reps or hold him out of games that we can win without him? Tough decisions to make when you're trying to balance his health with his desire to play and a collective desire to help him achieve his dream. Assuming, of course, that he remains healthy and is fully cleared.

agreed.

New protocol? Do they have a different approach planned for this year than last?

Last year's wasn't successful. The clots returned when he switched off the anticoagulants. So they've consulted with the top specialists in the field and are putting together a new plan that hopefully will have better results.

And as good as he is, he proved he could not play effectively with so little preparation.

It’s hard to play lineman in the SEC.

yep. and i guess that's why my angst is rising here. we're less than two weeks out and he's not yet taking live snaps.

which is fine, because we know what's most important here, so don't get me wrong. health/safety first.....

just that if there is a plan, there does come a point where implementation has to happen if he's going to really contribute.....

i say that, while understanding i have no idea what the plan is.........lol.

That's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks.

I am not going to lose a lot of sleep over him going to UK. We still beat Kentucky and will continue to in the future. He will be one of their better recruits and would fall somewhere in the middle of our class. Don't sweat it.

oh, i'm not. i haven't ever thought he was going to be part of this class. i do think the staff wanted him. but probably not as much as TR would like you to believe.

I am going to do what CJP told me to. I am not going to worry about the ones we don't get.

An ad on Craigs List From the Midday 180 post: Must be from Ben Stancliff ( Sabanoccio). Im sure tons of women have responded. Creepy AF.

What a great offer.
When you say “female responses only” are you talking about non surgically altered, biologically born or is there a little wiggle room?

Yep, definitely some uncertainty right now. The first game will be a good time to work things out and let some new guys get their feet wet. I really hope they get the lines settled in quickly this year. The constant moving and shifting kept the OL from getting in a rhythm last year.

I can't like this video enough. I can't like Inky Johnson enough. He lives and breathes everything that I strive to be as a father and a human. Give my all, everyday, in every way, it's all MINDSET. Life, football, job, career, parenting, whatever it is...Mindset.

Its was powerful. Make's sense now when CP said they had the best energized practice after that speech. Just hope they don't forget it.
