Pretty good article. I don't see the Huskers making a huge stride this year as many are predicting. For that matter I don't see the Vols making a huge stride either. I do feel the Vols will get better and much of that will occur after the UF, UGA, Bama stretch. I still don't like the fact that Martinez flipped to them and will always wonder what he could have done at UT. There's actually talk of him being a heisman candidate. Talk about hype. I like our position because we're actually the Rodney Dangerfield of college football at present. As fans we need to be a little patient and have a reality check. All that is lacking across the board is in-game live reps for a lot of our players. Let the Huskers enjoy the over-hype while we work our tails off in a much tougher conference. I have complete confidence in this staff getting us back to where we belong...in the top 5 every year no later than 2021 and CJP will never go back to 'Bama once he's built it.
There's definitely an opportunity. I read more knowledgeable posts here per day than what they pull off in a week.If an actual talented and insightful radio personality ever started a sports talk show that wasn’t affiliated with the vol network it would absolutely blow up in Knoxville.
The fox sports clowns basically proved that and they don’t even have media credentials or an understanding of football.
Not sure I see Nebraska being that great this year either, but they have a much more manageable schedule than we do this year (they should start 4-0 easily) and they've got pretty much the perfect young QB for Frost's system. Looking at their schedule, it wouldn't surprise me if they end up winning 8+ games and without being particularly good at anything besides gaining a lot of yards on offense.Pretty good article. You must be remembering Palmer as a freshman. Palmer still needs to work on consistency with his hands, but he made huge strides as a sophomore. As a freshman he could get often get open, but could hardly catch a cold. He started to put things together last year and finished 3rd in receptions and 2nd in receiving yards on the team.I remember Murphy and palmer dropping more passes than them being caught![]()
Don't blame Abrams for Rian Johnson's terrible movie. IDK why in the world Disney thought it would be a good idea to hand Star Wars off to the jackass whose greatest directorial achievements have been Fast and the Furious movies that fall into the "so mind-numbingly, stupidly bad it's entertaining" category.
I'm not the one who said it but imo it seems like he was saying if yer worried about getting overhyped maybe don't read a forum where that is likely to happen. Stick with the ff. Haha. What you seem to be doing though is trying to save everyone else from the hype. Which is I guess super noble of you? Though unnecessary. So you don’t like my opinions and you want me to leave?
Is that correct?
It's not really that simple, though. IF (big if) you're not interested in sports and don't need ESPN, then cutting the cord can be much cheaper than cable. A combo of an HD antenna, Hulu, and/or Netflix/Disney's new service soon can save you $20-$40/month. Most people won't hit the standard 1TB of data per month unless they are in a household of 4-5+ who are constantly streaming and playing online games.
If you are a big sports fan who doesn't want to miss out on any games, then the streaming subscriptions along with internet service good enough to give you reliable service during live streams often comes out to costing about the same as cable.
But you never know, I mean we could have 3 freshmen starting at WR for all we know. Hyatt, Jarret (if we get him), etc. Never know.I'm just hoping Palmer is still here in 2020 and Murphy for that matter, if both ball out this season we might see guys leaving for the draft.
I think Keyton, Jones, and then Palmer/Murphy (if both return) will be the top 4 for sure though.
He’s carved out a home in misery and lashes out protectively towards any that threaten said sanctuary.I'm not the one who said it but imo it seems like he was saying if yer worried about getting overhyped maybe don't read a forum where that is likely to happen. I am really glad I clicked that linked. Some really earth-shaking points being made there.Tennessee football: No reason to believe fall camp stories hyping up Vols
He makes some great points.![]()
I've got your hard evidence right here...pump the brakes until we have some hard evidence
