DL was already going to be a bit unproven, just more so now.

Savion & Middleton both need to be contributing JuCo pieces, can't be Kongbo types at all. Butler, Mincey, Emerson all need to step up they've been in this position group their entire time at UT and will have at least 2 fall camps with this staff (the most possible). I think Emerson could be our sleeper this season, staff let him RS and he got to get his conditioning right.

Emerson: A four-star prospect and a national top-10 defensive line recruit out of North Side High School in Jackson, Tenn.…member of ESPN 300…invited to play in 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl…led North Side to the state playoffs in 2016…missed the 2017 season due to injury…was rated the No. 1 recruit in Tennessee by the Tennessean in 2017.

I'm not so worried about the interior of the DL. We got great size now and strength, the real worry for me is who can be the Phillips replacement and get pressure? Mincey, Butler, or Harris...or could it be Bumphus lives up to his athletic potential?

Here are our Sr's this year. Not counting Jr's who go pro, WR and LB will be the only areas we lose a lot of value next year. I believe the others can be replaced with relatively small drop off. Get a good transfer or two in 2020 too help with depth, and it should be the big year for Pruitt. The schedule sets up nicely for us as well.

Just gotta stay healthy and get a good recruiting class in this year. I'm more concerned about the recruiting than the W/L at this point because next year is the payoff year IMO.

Knowing our luck this kid will be an All-SEC freshman of the Year and go on to be the greatest linebacker to ever play the game in college or pro's.

24/7 list Brent Key as his primary at Bama, but he was offered there so I'm sure he had some sort of interaction with Pruitt & Rocker. He missed all of 2017 and got 2018 to RS and rehab/condition himself. I don't think it's time to write him off as a potential starter/contributor.
