How is it circular? They had NFL upper class talent on that roster. We didn’t. Simple.

It being circular has nothing to do with us.

The argument I was talking about was:
Premise: UF had 6 nfl draftees
Conclusion: Therefore they went 10-3

Just consider the chronology and circularity of saying UF had 6 draftees without considering that was after going 10-3. They went 4-7 the year before. How many 4-7 teams project to have 6 guys drafted the next year?

But again, this wasn't even my point. Let's just say I would take 10 win seasons and nye6 bowl wins, even if it meant rough offseasons and mediocre recruiting. W/L is everything at the end of the day.

Nobody said that Mehlen wasn't a pretty good coach. Not sure what point you're making. He wouldn't have went 10-3 with our roster.

Seems pretty clear to me that Mehlen is only gonna get slightly better talent at Fl than he got at MSU. He’s a good coach but his recruiting is awful. That 2019 class proved it as he got guys with all sorts of issues other top schools wouldn’t take and it fell apart for that reason. We’ll be more talented than them. Have to outcoach him
I love that I made "Mehlan" part of the VN lexicon...😁

Nobody can take that from me.

Some scouting reports on Keon Johnson:

“For starters,” 247Sports basketball analyst Jerry Meyer told GoVols247, “Johnson is a powerful athlete with a great build for a wing player. He also has the ball handling to get where he wants to get on the court and has the vision and passing to create for teammates."

“He's also a strong finisher on the move while having a developing jump shot. On the defensive end, he could be a star as a defensive stopper with great versatility. Johnson also rebounds well as a wing.”

“Because he is such a good athlete,” 247Sports basketball recruiting analyst Brian Snow said, “he has the potential to be an elite defender, and his best basketball appears to still be ahead of him.”

247Sports Evaluation — Keon Johnson

A well-built, physical and explosive athlete. A well-rounded and versatile offensive player. Primarily a slasher who can both finish and find open teammates. Capable and improving outside shooter. Room for improvement as a full court ball handler. Quality rebounder for position and versatile defender. Should hear his name called in the first round of the NBA draft whenever he declares.

Scouting Report — Jerry Meyer

Draft Projection: First Round

NBA Comparison: Malik Beasley, Denver Nuggets

BREAKING: Vols add commitment from four-star SG Keon Johnson
