Mass Shooting in Ohio

You're awfully arrogant in assuming what I know I need. And for the record, I was ridiculing you not the lord.
Did not seem like it. Are you saved brother? Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior? If not, I hope you do before it's too late.

CNN to Host Second Gun Control Town Hall After Shootings

Network hosted similar town hall after Parkland shooting

CNN is hosting a gun control town hall following mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, over the weekend.

The network announced in a tweet on Monday that Prime Time host Chris Cuomo will lead a discussion on August 7 in the slot where his 9:00 p.m. show airs.

We had guns in the back window of our trucks in high school. We didn’t shoot each other.
I wonder what has changed.
Same here. Use to walk down the street when I was 12 with my shotgun or 22 to go shoot in the woods. Neighbors never freaked out. They just waved and smiled and I never shot anyone. How bout dat?

Something the left never likes to acknowledge. They'd rather take away our Liberty.

So, for the sake of argument, let's suppose it is true that most mass shooters come from fatherless families. What should we do about it? Force parents to stay together? Force fathers to marry the women they knock up? Bar the sale of guns to kids from families with no father? Those all seem much bigger infringements of liberty than common sense gun control measures.

Just obey the Bible and it will not happen except for circumstances where the father is deceased. It's that simple. There would be no divorce, No single women getting pregnant, no rape ending up in pregnancy, no neglecting of children, no child abuse, etc. What a wonderful world that could be.

EXCLUSIVE: Man who drove with Dayton mass shooter and sister before massacre was his best friend - who Connor Betts then shot and is now cops' best hope of finding motive for murders

Dayton gunman Connor Betts shot and critically injured his best friend when he killed nine victims including his own sister, Megan, 22.

DailyMail.com has exclusively learned that Charles 'Chace' Beard, 24, was the man who was in the car with Betts and Megan when they drove to the Oregon District where Betts carried out the second mass shooting of the weekend.

And Beard was among the first victims to be shot by 24-year-old Betts in his so-far motiveless massacre conducted in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He and Megan Betts appear to have been standing outside Ned Peppers Bar when Betts opened fire.

Betts, who was armed with an AR-15, wearing body armor and a mask and had as many as 250 rounds of ammunition, was taken down by cops about 30 seconds after he opened fire.

As the sole survivor of the car journey with Betts and a witness to the moments leading up to the atrocity, Beard could hold the key to why Betts embarked on his killing spree.

He was critically ill in the hospital in Dayton Monday but has been been speaking tio police.

But the fact Beard shot both his friend and his sister will only add to questions over his motive for killing nine people.

Probably will not get the ratings they hope for.

What kind of psychopath shoots their best friend and sister....1st...then ambushes a crowd of strangers. Smh.

That cop who killed him was smart. May have been 1 or 2 more killed because of what he did..I dont know..but it was smart. If you watch the video, he jumps out and sees all the people were running his direction and either thought Betts was too..or he was scared...either way he ducked behind the corner; drew his pistol, and waited instead of taking him head on in open view with a vastly inferior pistol. When Betts ran around the corner the cop shot him point blank..from less than 10 feet away it seems..in what looks to be the neck. Reports say beck was wearing body armor so it was above the chest plate anyway..and he left a sizable pool of blood on the ground in half a second of contact. Very well done by the cop..he was obviously dead because the cops left him and went looking for another possible shooter.

Reddit is absolutely unbearable right now. They blame Trump directly for the SA shootkng as if he pulled the trigger, but will not even admit that Betts was a leftist supporter of ANTIFA . a terrorist organization that publicly and proudly commits violence frequently out there on the left coast where rednecks arent there to end their BS.

The whole politicizing of this crap from any angle...right or left...is an exercise in stupidity. We have a serious problem with mental health going untreated in this country. That is most of the problem IMO. I agree with Slice that fatherless homes are a huge problem also, with gang violence as well as these mass shootings. We as a country have turned away from God and the traditional family...and the costs of that are growing day by day. We dont have a gun problem, we have a people problem. I dont see how it is going to get any better either.

Piss on the leftist media though and all the clowns trying to lay that shooting at Trumps feet. He isnt a role model. Almost nobody thinks that he is. He isnt a righteous man either in my opinion. But he isnt responsible for some sick hate filled racist killing people. If yall really think that people are so weak minded that hearing a soundbite from some mouthy US politician is gonna go make them murder 20 people then you're an idiot. Period. Not even you clowns that worshipped Barry and still refuse to criticize him or anything he did to this day...none of you.. would go out and kill even 1 person in he called you in the oval office and asked you to...right???? But you will sit back and say that because Trump tweeted or said something...to a stranger of this sicko...that Trump is responsible for him driving 8 hours to go shoot up a walmart. You're either stupid, lying, or both. It's about that simple. Yall just have TDS so bad that you want desperately to blame him for anything...Russia...killings...it doesnt matter. "Orange man bad". Same old BS.

Mass murders arent a left or right problem. They are a people problem. A young , male, people problem. Always males under the age of 30. Many times under 21. Why is that? What is driving these boys crazy? That's where your energy should be. Not trying to pin some BS on OUR president. Ridiculous. I have a son that will turn 18 this year. A daughter that is 11. I worry for THEM. What kind of world have we given them? What about their kids? Will they even have any? My generation, and obviously my parents generation, have apparently failed miserably in many ways raising their kids. None of this BS happened 30 or 40 years ago. Same amount of guns per citizen. We have PEOPLE PROBLEMS and they start at HOME. HOME .

That's the truth that nobody wants to talk about. I should not have to worry if your kid is gonna shoot up MY wife and kids at walmart. I did the right thing. I raised my kids. Bust my arse 6 days a week for the last 15 years to put mine through Christian school. If they go shoot up a crowd??? That's MY FAULT. I failed as a parent. Miserably. Either to teach my kid the value of human life or to get them the mental help they needed. Where is the accountability anymore? There isnt. Ever. Everybody gets a trophy and nobody gets blame. Always somebody elses fault. BS.

I dont want to see the picture or name of even 1 more shooter on TV. I shouldnt know his name was Betts. No more infamy. No more manifestos. Nothing. An unmarked grave and zero publicity. Wonder how much that would cut down on this crap? In the generation that invented "selfies" and Instagram pics of every stupid thing they do? It would be a good start. I know that.

NAACP had a press conference and said 6 of the 9 killed were black. Makes me wonder if the shooter's sister's boyfriend was black and the shooter had an issue with it. Just speculating though. I thought that it was weird that the NAACP had a press conference.

I want to hear what meds the shooters were taking. The MSM always goes after the NRA and gun manufacturers but not Big Pharma. Which of those organizations spends tens of millions advertising on the evening news?
I had the same thoughts as in your paragraph 1 when I watched the police honcho’s presentation yesterday giving the ethnicity of the victims.

Donald Trump knows that his approval ratings go down an average of 4 points in the weeks following a mass shooting. The lowest that his Real Clear Politics Average Approval Rating has been during his presidency was in the fall of 2017 in the aftermath of both the Mandalay Bay shooting and the Sutherland Springs, Texas Church shooting... he dropped to an even 37%. He is showing a different approach this time and being more outspoken. I doubt it makes a difference. However, in the past, his approval ratings have always recovered in about two to three months... until the next shooting.

Sometimes, no amount of parenting fixes crazy. Society as a whole has pulled away from the concept of personal responsibility, choosing instead to place blame everywhere but where it truly belongs, on the individual. Reasons and excuses are often plentiful, but in the end, the individual chose to act.

And MANY times kids are in broken fatherless homes because mom divorced dad, or cheated on him, or never wanted to marry him in the first place. There are also MANY dads that get absolutely railroaded in divorces and never stood a chance of getting their kids more than every other weekend no matter how hard they fought it or how much money they spent. In fact, the mom has to pretty much be proven as a drug addict or prostitute in order to Not get primary custody of the kids. Dads get the shaft all the time. I have seen it over and over.

That doesnt absolve dads of blame though. Slice is right. There are way too many deadbeat dads also. That is certain. I just dont agree with taking mom out of the equation. Many times mom CHOOSES to be a "single mom" . Its crap either way.

We have a family crisis in this country. There seem to be very few good parents anymore. Seems to be getting worse every year.

The stats are there.
The shooters are all from broken homes where the dads were absent or a pos. If we’re looking for an actual cause beyond “guns bad” we should start with common factors.
