To the earlier discussion, even Pruitt stated yesterday about how some guys will look beastly out there...doesn't mean they will become good football players. His level of candor is amazing.

As Rucker mentioned in his article, it just gives us much better odds. I'll take those odds over Butch's.

Staff nailed 2 out of 3 major unit needs imo last class. Just need moar along DL and I think we project well there this class.
I don't know, they seem to have done a pretty decent job at DL also with Simmons, Middleton and Williams. Obviously we need a bunch more but all 3 of those guys look like they can contribute.

Lawson was excellent at getting his players ripped and tireless...big teams ALWAYS shoved them the other direction.
Lawson? Or that Sheri replacement? I remember 2015 when we had 2 true freshmen OL holding their own vs uga and bama. Bama players said that was the strongest team they had played all year. We beat up on all the teams we should have beat. Made those midwestern #12 ranked NW guys look like nobodies. 2015 was actually a really, really good team.

Then Lawson left and shiz blew up. Lawson was like Pruitt when he was at UGA. The only guy trying to enforce strict, high standards and toughness.

Best live acts right now:

Billy Strings
Marcus King Band
Tedeschi Trucks Band
Ghost Note
Lukas Nelson
Leftover Salmon
Sturgill Simpson
Travelin' McCoury's
Molly Tuttle
Really like the McCourys, though don’t listen to much bluegrass these days. They were in oak ridge a couple weeks ago. Molly Tuttle will be there later this summer.

Like Simpson and who doesn’t like Derek Trucks on the slide?

Should have said moar (elite) guys. I'm thinking elite hs, 3-5 year guys. These JUCO guys feel like a decent gap stop for now, but we need to get a deep rotation of hs guys that can develop in our system and be coached by our own guys.

Gov't Mule and My Morning Jacket are hard to beat live. But.....

Pearl Jam and 311 in the early 2000s is still the best shows I've ever been too...
Seems like I saw 311 play on FIJI island on UT campus back in the late 90s. Is that right? Robert Randolph played there too.

They never said STRONGEST. Best conditioned was their praise...I addressed that. Beginning of complaints directed at S&C happened under Lawson. When Gaulden went down before the season and when Maggitt got hurt standing alone on the field against Oklahoma. Unfair imo but it happened.

Tuttle was 6’3” and 300. Not 6’7” and not 330. McKenzie was not always in shape and was only 6’2”.

Also, Savion Williams is just a bit bigger than Tuttle. That’s 3 bigger than our best interior DL from the last few years.

I can’t recall who were the other 2 guys in the two deep with Kmac and Tuttle?

But forreal, if anyone is into bluegrass, check out Billy Strings. Dude is changing the game. The band is playing really tight right now and is blowing people away. He grew up cutting his chops on the classics like Doc Watson, Bill Monroe, etc., newgrass like Sam Bush and Tony Rice etc., and classic rock like Johnny Winter and Zeppelin. He's the real deal.

Gonna check this out.
