Pruitt has definitely stepped up the PWO game. These are some of the guys could make an impact in the future.

Offense:
- Fred Orr - RB - 5-11 200lbs - 2019 Class (scholarship offers from Air Force and Army)
- Isaiah Montgomery - WR - 6-0 207lbs - 2019 Class
- Hunter Salmon - TE - 6-5 239lbs - 2019 Class
- Jarious Abercrombie - OL - 6-4 310lbs - 2018 Class
- Dayne Davis - OL - 6-7 330lbs- 2019 Class
- Parker Ball - OL - 6-4 284lbs - 2019 Class

Defense:
- Ethan Rinke - LB - 6-3 239lbs - 2019 Class (scholarship offers from Army and other D-1 schools)
- Bryan Aiken - LB - 6-4 260lbs - 2019 Class
- Nyles Gaddy - LB - 6-4 231lbs - 2018 Class
- Deonte Beauchamp - LB - 6-1 241lbs - 2019 Class
- West Shuler - LB - 6-1 227lbs - 2019 Class

I am not saying they will all make a difference, however all these guys atleast have the size to compete in practice. Butch's PWOs did not.

Numbers will get reeeal interesting if they do. I think we already have to shed like 11-13 guys to fit a full class for next year from what I heard.

I think the new 1 year walk on rule is really going to up some P5 walkon programs. Glad we're taking advantage.
What's the new 1 year walk on rule?

Noticed Basilio's "X" article on the FF:
The Tony Basilio Show

Basically said it isn't news that yac, rocker, rumph, sherrer have not pulling recruiting weight. But also implied Pruitt hasn't been helping by not taking Dallas Walker's commitment this year and Joseph Anderson's last year.

Basically said Pruitt should be taking commitments earlier to help DL recruiting (from guys he's not sold on??). Seems stupid to me. He said we didn't take Walker...and then he blew up and became a top-250 player after camp season (yeah, on Rivals lmao). It's not like that changes Pruitt's eval on him.

Sometimes, you may miss on prospects. There are so many that it’s going to happen.

I do think Butch’s philosophy to take some guys early and then try to upgrade was ok. Maybe not do it with as many guys as Butch did, but I think you consider taking a fringe guy early at a position like DL and then see how he progresses and where you are with others. Pruitt doesn’t need to do that with DB’s and maybe LB’s because he knows what he wants. But you could risk losing out on a lot of guys.

I don't listen to Basilio, but he seems to be one of those who dislikes Pruitt's recruiting strategy. Pruitt's willing to let guys walk if they won't come to campus and be evaluated. And he's willing to let talent go elsewhere if they want to commit before he's ready to take their commitment. It means we get in late on some players and can't make up ground, and it means we lose guys who're offended that UT wouldn't take an early commitment. And it can domino when guys who feel slighted try to turn other recruits against us.

That strategy is less risky for Saban at Bama than it is for Pruitt at UT, but that's how this staff recruits. We're going to lose some guys we could've had and gain some guys we didn't think we'd get-- all by waiting. We can't recruit like Ark and UK and expect to field a team like Bama and UGA.
