Mcilroy got hot. PGA needs to reconsider the whole cut situation when a player shoots -8, regardless of the day before. He was trending in the right direction.

Rory shot -6 today. Missing the cut cost me some $$. Also about Duval, vertigo is the devil. He's become a joke on tour and is stealing spots in the majors from the younger guys. Once heard a tour caddie say to his player after their round at another tournament, "wanna go watch david shoot 100?"

He only plays in The Open because of his exemption. Doesn’t play in the others

All former British Open champions are exempt until the age of 60. This year is the last for Tom Lehman.

The wind is making it okay impossible right now. It doesn't look that tough, but links golf in the wind is brutal.

Today on Sirius XM, Dennis Paulsen interviewed Carl Paulson about the British Open. Those 2 have a daily radio show called "The Paulsens" or maybe "The Paulsons." Their names are spelled differently. Anyway, both golfers played on tour a few years ago, and Carl covered the Open for the radio broadcast. He said that parts of Sunday were the worst weather that he has ever covered a tournament in, and said he had only played in conditions like that for a few minutes.

He went on to say that it was so difficult with the crosswinds and shifting winds, rough, bunkers, and greens and that the average local club champion probably couldn't have broken 95 Sunday. That shows you how good these guys are.

so hard to flight it and control the spin in those conditions. And then there were holes like 16 that were playing ridiculous.
