This kid is just born with that type of strength. He's 6'1 maybe and can dunk a basketball 2 handed at 340 lbs....
That's NOT normal.

He's probably benching over 500 lbs.
He's clearly an athlete. At 340lbs, he's already one of the biggest players on the team. Why would it be out of the realm of possibility that he's one of the strongest ?

some young men are just naturally strong or as we say in the country cock strong so it really aint a big deal if you ask me...i saw plenty of guys at Franklin who hardly even worked out who were cock strong ....

Exactly. I went to school with one guy that we called "Superman". About a year after high school he came upon a wreck and had to lift a car off the top of someone. He was just naturally strong as an ox. Another I went to high school with, played football and put up 500 pounds on the flat bench as a senior. Some guys are just built that way.

I remember in the late summer of 85, a article came out that redshirt freshman Harry Galbreath was the strongest player on the squad. That year turned out very good. GBO!!!!

My cousin came to UT in 1989 and was the strongest player on the team as a true freshman. The Vols were plenty strong back then. Some guys are just freaks of nature. I think this is more a testament of how strong this kid is. A year ago, I might have agreed with the weak team sentiment, but after 18 months with Fitzgerald we have some big strong guys now.

Hmmm, I'm trying to figure this out. I know Shazzon was a hoss but I'm not sure he came in 89.
