My stepfather was a PT limo driver and huge wrestling fan. As you probably know, JYD's arch nemesis for a time was Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. After a vicious battle one night in Knoxville at the coliseum, my stepfather drove both in the same limo to the airport while they sat in the back, drinking beer and BSing like old HS buddies.
I've heard it's fake.

Our strongest player is a freshman? Lol

Btw, I know, he's a BIG dude, but still
Yeah, I thought same. Kinda telling when frosh walks in and says “move over boys, let me show you how it’s done”. Kidding of course...60+ players staying for summer school and workouts will pay dividends...kinda like when b-ball vols two years ago went on the international tour...think that just helped us roll into the season with much more momentum.

Why is everyone excited about this? The Vols have guys 20-22 yr olds that have been in the strength program here for as long as 4 years and a guy walks in from a HS in Nashville and he is already stronger than any of them! Doesn't speak well of this year's roster or the strength program at UT.

This kid is just born with that type of strength. He's 6'1 maybe and can dunk a basketball 2 handed at 340 lbs....
That's NOT normal.

He's probably benching over 500 lbs.

He never dunked two handed. He filmed a 2nd video of a complete one handed dunk because the first was, meh.

My cousin came to UT in 1989 and was the strongest player on the team as a true freshman. The Vols were plenty strong back then. Some guys are just freaks of nature. I think this is more a testament of how strong this kid is. A year ago, I might have agreed with the weak team sentiment, but after 18 months with Fitzgerald we have some big strong guys now.

He may simply be country strong. He isn't the strongest guy in the weight room I can assure you of that...but he may be one of those guys who "once he gets his hands on you" you're done. Shaun Ellis was that way.

Have you not honestly been around for the past 10 years???? One strength and conditioning coach to another. Offensive line was dominated by ETSU last year. This is and has been weak for years.
