TN has only won 12 or fewer games 5x since Ray Mears was hired (57 seasons). Houston 2x, KO 2x, and CW's interim year. The last time was 23 years ago.

Ill wait and see what the final roster looks like before I take a guess what our record could be.

If Plavsic is eligible and we get a grad transfer that could be useful I could see us having a better than expected regular season.

World beaters not quite but maybe approaching 20 wins.

Right now things look bleak.

Statements like this kill me. We've won 11 or fewer games 7 times in the last 86 years since the SEC formed. Just because we've never had great post-season success outside of Bruce, doesn't mean we've not generally been a successful program. Tennessee is top 40 out of the 300+ DI programs in all time wins. We are not the program of Buzz/Wade Houston. Those guys are the exception here but are treated as the rule by our own fan base.

Yea, I just can’t wait for Barnes to leave so we can go back to being bottom dwellers in the SEC and get smacked around by Kentucky again.

Some of y’all are going to be highly disappointed when the next HC isn’t someone whom you wanted in the first place.

Funny that our problems were created by past success. 5 mil salary. Caused two key guys to leave early or we wouldn't be having any of the negavibes.

There aren’t many skilled players at the 5 anymore. The 4 and 5 are interchangeable, and I don’t know what that has to do with anything. We have some fans that are just nuts.

Barnes has NEVER won less than 14 games in a season...ever. At George Mason, at Providence, at Clemson. He’s won less than 18 only 6 times in 32 years. So that would be historic, but that’s what our fans bring to the table.

And to be fair, I have no problem with people being concerned about the season with our personnel losses, even though Barnes has proven he usually has a plan in place to mitigate the damage. But some of you are just a textbook clinical case for Prozac.

I think most of not everyone would have loved to land Blackshear. I also don’t think most saw two players leaving. However when we learned Williams and Bone were leaving things looked worse than they do right now.

Tennessee has landed Org and Plavsic and things look much better than they did. I think people are putting too much on not getting Blackshear. Sure it would have been awesome.......but early on it didn’t even look like a possibility.
