I believe so to, if he sticks around. I mean, what's the latest? I have no clue what's up with him. Last I'd heard he didn't participate in spring practice and I haven't heard anything else.

JJ Peterson, may have been slightly overrated by recruiting services, or did he just arrive in such sloppy shape that he sudenly became another one of Tennessee's highly rated recruits to bite the dust?
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle of question, of what happened to JJ Peterson?

Honestly I don’t follow that close in the summer. I’m just of the opinion of he’s there and working his butt off until I hear otherwise from the school. So I’m just speculating basically and being optimistic he’s going to work out.

It’s difficult to wrap your mind around football when your that age and caught in that ole poon-tane trap. I don’t know him but it seems he had some growing up to do.

Freshman can play in 4 games without hurting their redshirt. He was given minimal playing time based on that rules. He was horribly out of shape and didn’t participate in spring.

You said huge contributions this year.

I’m confused why you’re telling me the redshirt rules, I’m very aware. Also, explain what being out of shape last year has to do with him this year? Yes I said huge contributor this year, why can’t he be?

Don't worry about it, no one really seems to know much but it kinda looks like he's got some issues, for lack of a better word. Some have already written him off.

Yes that he’s been written off. I’m not even almost goin to pretend to be an insider. But obviously he is talented and He’s not even been here a full year yet. I just wish people would let the kids career play out

Here’s the deal. First, JJ did participate in Spring practices. Second, He didn’t “go AWOL.” There were things that he needed to take care of and the coaches, advisors and other staff are helping to guide him. He’s learning and will be fine. Try not to judge people if you haven’t walked in their shoes..

Good info. Thanks for the clarification. I’m hoping I don’t see his name again until fall camp. This time of year always makes me nervous.

Try waiting until the season progresses, say around game3 or 4 and ask this question again.

See, it's sort of like the question of, "Where is astronaut Eric Boe?" The NASA, like Tennessee, we let our once-elite program become an FCB level team. The NASA (or rather the federal government) let our once elite space program become a Russian client (for gosh sakes!). So we won't be seeing Eric Boe in an American rocket, heading spaceward, from American soil until it happens. Hopefully, sometime this month when an All-American SpaceX Dragon thunders and roars into the sky. Same with JJ Peterson. We won't see him until the season is in progress. Patience, JWF, both the NASA and JJ Peterson are getting there. Patience.
