Strength of schedule. Imo they are football royalty and get the benefit of the doubt. Ultimately proving in the end they never belonged there. All IMO of course.

True, their schedule is always weaker than most top level Power 5. But 12-0 and having wins over Michigan and USC probably got them in the dance...since OSU flubbed it up against Purdue.

This year they get to play @ Georgia, @ Stanford, @ Michigan and get USC at home. So a bit more stout than in previous seasons.

My OCD freaked out when I saw all of the 21’ threads bumped so I had to click them to get them unhighlighted. Felt good after I unhighlighted them all. Then @bignewt went and brought my OCD back by bumping 20’ threads. Damn you, Newt.

My OCD freaked out when I saw your apostrophes on the wrong side of your numbers.

Dave Ramsey snowball that bad boy. My wife had two college loans that we recently just paid off. Pay extra and get out of debt. Do you eat out? Cut the number of times you do that. Do you have cable? Cut it. Do you have a car payment? Sell the car and get a beater. Can you work more hours? Work more and make more.
His wife might get mad about that advice. Sorry, I'll see myself out.

Memphis now has the 2nd and 23rd pick in the draft. Do they pick Williams with that 23rd?

I don't think Williams is there at 23...but even if he is not sure he's going to Memphis. I think Morant and moving Conley shows they want to change the style of ball.

Morant is a given with that pick. Just interested to see were they go with the 23rd. This team is going to look a lot different and apparently young going forward.

What’s the interest rate on the loan? Pure, unadulterated economics dictates that the next dollar should be invested if that investment provides a yield greater than the interest rate on the loan. Unless you’re overly leveraged, of course. In which case it’s time to evaluate how you approach personal finance.

Their RB was their only offensive threat and they lost a ton on defense. I dont see them being successful this year.

Also why is this the second year MSU is overrated for the second year in a row?
That's a good question. I overlooked them in the rankings. They lost a lot too (especially on defense)

That's why I hate preseason polls. It's all based on how the team did last year because no one knows what teams are going to look like with new players coming in.

How did Memphis fleece Utah into bailing them out of the Conley contract AND net two firsts to boot?

The Memphis Grizzlies are trading point guard Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz for Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, Grayson Allen, the 23rd pick in Thursday's draft and a protected first-round pick in 2020

I guess by helping Utah offload some money for those 3 players?

I understand they have to make the contracts work...and the trade details, but thanks. Conley has an albatross contract so Utah is getting the short end of that stick. Korver, Crowder and Allen have contracts that are soon to expire...so Memphis got ANOTHER bonus in addition to the two first rounders. This was a robbery!

You've obviously not priced the cost of a van or you'd need PMI for that too...
This would be on the cheap...

Pretty much....it would've been nice if they could've taken Chandler Parsons as well.
