2020 Presidential Race

My point is more forward-looking and more general. Whoever emerges as the nominee for the Dems, will always get the benefit of the doubt, and then some, from the sycophantic press corpse (pun intended).

For example, Biden will be held up as the smartest plagiarist who finished at the bottom of his law class to have ever run for President.

Converting the noun golf into a verb is bad enough. But to then apply the present participle to the very questionable verb is beyond forgivable.
Is golfing a problem? And why so lazy? I mean you just ignore the substance. Congrats on that. I am sure you sleep better.

Which would put Huff ahead of Trump. I think your scoring system is seriously faulty.
... and puts me (an FSR at a bank who only makes about $40K a year) even with Trump. I don't think it's faulty to point out that most of the people who have run for President since 2000, do have some form of a graduate degree (George W. Bush has an MBA from Yale). Trump is a little unusual in that regard... but that has never kept him from boasting about how he "went to the best schools".

Do any of you people realize that Donald Trump described himself as being "very pro-choice" during a television interview in 1999? The inconsistency here is staggering.

Some other topics that Trump has flip-flopped on include:

1) Torture
2) Entitlement program cuts (specifically Medicare and Medicaid)
3) Gay marriage (he used to oppose it, now he is in favor of it)
4) NATO (before the election he called it obsolete, now he claims that is no longer the case)

Whatever "nuance" Biden is guilty of.... Trump has him beat six ways to Sunday.
1) is he opposed to it now? He was in favor pre running
2) is he now opposed to them?
3) He has been a huge supporter of homosexual equality and continues to suppose their choice to be gay.
4) I think you confused NATO with the UN at some point. He never has been a US in the UN fan.

Disclaimer: I detest politics, and most politicians. Although I tend to vote Republican, I consider myself an Independent voter. Show me a conservative Democrat, and I'll listen to what they have to say. Right now, I think the Democratic Party is a far more serious threat to the USA than Russia, China, North Korea, and Luther all combined.

That being said, the feeding frenzy of the right-wing of the media is slobbering over comments Crazy Joe made back in 1973. Nineteen seventy-three. 46 years ago. Forty-six. Is that the best you've got? Can the man not change his mind on things over the span of almost five decades?

Granted, he's (a) a politician, (b) a Democrat, and (c) crazier than a sprayed roach. But Good Lord...if you looked back at some of the things I said 20 years ago, and then compared them to where I am now, it would look like two different people talking.

You don't need to go back 46 years to prove Biden is a tool. Last week will do.

Politics. Like having diarrhea on a Greyhound bus. There are no good options.

You know how I know so much of this board is hypocritical, and I suspect I will be flamed for this, they criticized Obama for deficits and golfing. Now look where we are at. It’s worse! Not that I give a rats ass about the golfing. I didn’t have a problem when Obama did it.

Part of the issue is Obama got the ball rolling downhill. I don't really care about the golf, but I am talking about the deficit. I have stated before that once you open pandora's box on any issue and it starts costing taxpayers then it is difficult to close. The Democrats are used to opening new boxes that make it hard to go back to the way something was without being called a racist or creating class warfare. For instance, Obamacare.

Add to the fact that I am not sure half of the people in Washington are qualified to make decisions about government then there is a major problem. Some of these people got elected because on popularity contests and are unqualified i.e. Cortez.

Obama simply added to debt and deficit. He continued a long-standing tradition of politicians outspending our revenue.
