Do any of you people realize that Donald Trump described himself as being "very pro-choice" during a television interview in 1999? The inconsistency here is staggering.T
They will get plenty of nuance with Biden...
Do any of you people realize that Donald Trump described himself as being "very pro-choice" during a television interview in 1999? The cognitive dissonance here is staggering.
Some other topics that Trump has flip-flopped on include:
1) Torture
2) Entitlement program cuts (specifically Medicare and Medicaid)
3) Gay marriage (he used to oppose it, now he is in favor of it)
4) NATO (before the election he called it obsolete, now he claims that is no longer the case)
Whatever "nuance" Biden is guilty of.... Trump has him beat six ways to Sunday.
Every politician panders to their base during their party's primary. Biden has to do it... just like Trump had to do it. That will mean some flip-flops for Biden, but the Trump campaign should know that Trump has left plenty of ammunition to play the "what-about-ism" game, if they choose to make a big issue of it.I completely agree with this. I’ve said many times here that Trump has had inconsistent positions in the past.
It’s why I’m so surprised with some of the policy positions he has taken in office.
But the difference here is Trump had views as a private citizen. Biden has spent a career making laws based on his beliefs! And now they change over night.
Because there is now only room for the leftists on the party. Hope you enjoy what you’ve all helped the create!
I disagree. The press corps didn't let it slide that Kerry voted in favor of the Iraq War before coming out so strongly against it and that is one reason why he never won over the support of the far left.It is also how the MSM runs protection for their side. Sort of what DC was saying when he mentioned how John Kerry’s flip-flopping was branded as “nuance”.
You know how I know so much of this board is hypocritical, and I suspect I will be flamed for this, they criticized Obama for deficits and golfing. Now look where we are at. It’s worse! Not that I give a rats ass about the golfing. I didn’t have a problem when Obama did it.

My point is more forward-looking and more general. Whoever emerges as the nominee for the Dems, will always get the benefit of the doubt, and then some, from the sycophantic press corpse (pun intended).I disagree.
