Things I'm mad about today

Not really mad because it was long overdue, but my flip flops finally broke after 5 years. Fortunately I only had to walk a few blocks home, but I don’t think people in Miami are accustomed to seeing people walk around barefoot.

You were shamed into putting on knee-high black socks with laced mesh shoes, weren't you?

When I moved here I made fun of guys that wore flip flops. I wore sandles with straps across the foot and behind the heel. That chit got old going out on the boat and to the beach.

You were a Teva guy?

In the '90s, I knew people who skydived in Tevas. One broke several toes during a frakked up landing. My go to skydive shoes are Chuck Taylor high-tops - just the right amount of shoe.

Been wearing flops for 20+ years, switched after the duct tape no longer worked on the Birks I had for 10 years.

I actually had a couple of pair of rope sandles that were quite comfortable and good in the river.

I've got a pair of ropes I've had for about 15 years. Guy down on the beach makes them.

Birkenstock is what I wore when I first moved here, but I switched to Mephisto after a couple of months. I like the looks better but the quality is pretty much the same as far as I can tell. I have a black pair and a brown pair I wear when I'm casually "dressing up". Lulz.

I'm mad that all my best cereal bowls we're in the dishwasher, and I'm having to use a different one!

What really makes me mad, I took the day off and have had several calls from my job about various things already. This happens every stinking time I take a day off. 🤬. If I don’t post for awhile, it’s because I’ve thrown my phone out in the yard.

What if you were to silence the ringtone and not answer it? Let it roll over to voicemail? You might not have to retrieve it from the yard.
