Correct. The BCS National Championship game ruined bowls, there are way too many bowls, and 8/9 wins should be the cutoff (and FCS games should not count).

I still don’t know how you make non-playoff postseason games meaningful, though.

There’s many years where Tennessee made bowls with a 7-4 or farther back 7-3 record. I would agree with at least a winning percentage. No bowl for.500 or worse records regardless...

Same. I’m 6’1” 200 and in great shape. Not jacked but muscular, and only a 33” waist. Did a health screening at work - something we can participate to save a little on health insurance. Anyways all my numbers came in gold except apparently at my height I’m supposed to weigh no more than 184 iirc. The nurse doing the screening asked if I wanted to receive a consultation call for weight loss. :( I said bish gtfoh with that ish.
Last year I got down to 185 doing mostly cardio and looked like I was sick. My mom told me I needed to eat something constantly. I started hitting the gym pretty hard since this past February and have since put on 25 lbs. I'm at a 34" waist simply because I like sweets.

Bowls have always been meaningless. Not until the BCS was there a bowl game that mattered. Are there too many now? Yes, but that doesn't mean they ever mattered to begin with.

Except when the Sugar Bowl was the destination bowl for the SEC Champion. That meant a ton.
When Tennessee dismantled Miami, it immediately changed national recruiting for Tennessee. Those were great coaches who had players overachieving at almost every position. Greatest game that I have ever been to. It easily rivals the Arkansas game in 98. To me, it meant just as much.

I have to do a health screen every year for work insurance. BMI has to be below 35 or under 40 inch waist. If you fail to meet one of these standards you pay a $20 surcharge each week, or you can talk to a nurse coach via phone once a month to avoid the surcharge. I am ashamed to say that I am not meeting these standards as of right now, but I have been working on it.

Quickest way to lose weight imo is to replace all your sugary drinks with water and replace a meal with a smoothie. 5$ lunches at smoothie king or tropical smoothie are nice on the bank account too.

Agree, I had to do a health screening for my insurance. I am what you would call stocky (5'-11", 210) and my BMI reading came back 31.0 and they were going to try to make me go to a health class. I lift pretty heavy and run up to 5 miles a couple of times a week, so I'm fairly muscular. I told the lady she was crazy if she thought I was going to that stupid class, she agreed and set my info up to be 29.5 BMI.
If they pull that crap again, show them this.

"At an individual level, BMI can be used as a screening tool but is not diagnostic of the body fatness or health of an individual and must be used along with waist measurements for an accurate evaluation . A trained healthcare provider should perform appropriate health assessments in order to evaluate an individual’s health status including nature of weight and individual factors."

It's in the link I provided from the CDC,
*IF you can get them to read the instructions.

I've noticed one consistent thing every time I lose weight with success. It's always when I'm only drinking water. No matter anything else I try, low carb, calorie counting, IF etc. I never see real good success unless I'm drinking just water.

Netflix things to watch:
Sherlock (obviously)
Mindhunter (only one season sadly)
Stranger Things (not for everyone, set in the 80s though and a fun series)
Peaky Blinders (adult oriented but so well done)
Making a Murderer (if you like true crime/documentary stuff)
Innocent Man (same as above)
The Haunting of Hill House (one season, very good horror/suspense)
The Staircase (wow, another true crime/documentary series)

Some people don’t like to Exercise or they can’t because of injuries.
My mom was in pretty bad health with her weight and she began walking at a track and I bought her some resistance bands cause she’s 66 and I don’t want her to hurt herself in a gym with weight, so the bands work WONDERS and you can take them anywhere.

You can use them in your office like I do. On a break or lunch, and you can get in a good workout while at work or at home and they dont take up any space.

Mom has lost 33 lbs in about 8 months. She walks daily and uses the bands 4 days a week, and it’s all light resistance but higher reps and she’s LOVES it. She calls me all the time and tells me how happier she is and how much better she feels.

Of course I helped her change her diet a little bit, but nothing too drastic, just lower sugar and carbs and upped her water intake.

Well, you got to be careful with that too. At those places (especially SK), it’s a fine line between a cheap, healthy lunch and an expensive, 800 calorie lunch depending on what you order, especially if you have no knowledge about the menu.

This. If you got to Tropical Smoothie, ask for no turbinado sweetener. (They add it to every smoothie)

Took the smoothie I got from 600 calories down to about 180. Most people just don’t know.

Wow. That is sobering to see. Hard to imagine a scenario where there are underestimating things that much, IMO. Interested to see the BYU line.
