Abortions and the bible.

I'm not equating the two unless you believe his "good mother" statement.

Stated as fact by certain posters:
1) Motherhood begins at implantation.
2) Mother's body begins caring and nurturing child immediately.
3) Good mothers care for their children.

Then this must follow:
1) Mother's body rejects the embryo and kills it (miscarry)
2) This is a Bad Mother.

I've would never correlate having an abortion to being a bad mother. Kids make mistakes. Women make mistakes. BC fails. Rape happens. Incest happens. I can't in good conscious tell a woman what she has to do. However, I can tell her that I believe that she should have a very finite period of time in which to make her decision. That is the fallacy of not being fully pro-life and not being fully pro-abortion. I guess by definition I am pro-choice.

Damn, I am agreeing with CWV. ****ing sky is falling.

#2 and #3 in the first group are speaking of two different situations aren't they? One is "unborn" and one is "born". (I will admit that I have not read every post by Roust or anyone else in this long thread. But, I still believe you are assigning comments as equal that are not.)

This is wrong.

No one would ever blame the mother for something out of her control.

Yet the statement has been made and you have given it likes that the mother's body cares for an nurtures the child from the moment of implantation. Good mothers care for their children. The corollary is that a mother that kills her kid is a bad mother. You either agree or disagree or you can stop labeling women that are now GOOD mothers bad because they have an abortion in their past.

And you also agree that rape victims should be allowed legal and safe abortions if they so choose since those are out of their control.

It’s a false equivalency and a really bad argument from you.

The mother that SUFFERS a miscarry is NOT killing her baby. Get off this false narrative please.

No, it doesn’t follow. It’s a non sequitur. If you can’t see the difference in a mother willingly having her child killed versus her body rejecting the pregnancy then you’re an idiot.

The more that companies try and push their moral beliefs on me the less likely I am likely to buy anything they have to offer. Hollywood, Gillette et al take notice. One becomes 10 then 10 becomes 100 etc.

But by creating a law to restrict individual rights, who is really pushing their moral beliefs on others? Don't want abortion in Georgia, don't have one.

Good lord, this many pages and you put that stupidity on here.
Don’t support slavery, don’t own one.

Either the unborn deserve protection or they don’t. If they don’t then we have no right to prevent a woman from killing the unborn. If we do, then you are supporting murder in the guise of “rights.”

Are you sad I'm not devolving the debate into your feelz?

I've stated my piece on what I support, the government has no businesses in a woman's relationship between her and her doctor. That takes precedence over a clump of meat that may or may not achieve sapience.

The government absolutely has business, just like it had a right to outlaw slavery. 7 men determined the fate for ALL women in a Roe v Wade.
There is No medical or biological evidence to support your “clump of meat” claim. It’s idiotic. Like I said, stupidity.

I'm not much of a religious guy, but I do have standards and a question in the back of my head about the afterlife. You're going to hell.

Because you keep referring to "good" mothers vs. bad due to abortions. Your statement seems to imply that a mother that has one abortion cannot by definition be a good mother. Therefore, if the mothers body rejects the embryo (i.e., kills it), then is she a bad mother? Just making sure that you are calling every female that has ever had an abortion a bad mother. I can tell you, that is not correct and is self righteous bull ****.
Of course every female that has an abortion (kills her developing child) is a bad mother. Duh! You have no problem passing that judgment when it meets YOUR arbitrary criteria. Go back and read your own ‘IMO’ rant. Hypocrite.
