When he gets to campus on May 28, he’ll get to work at safety, the position he prefers.
“Aaron is guy that played tailback on his high school team, rushed for probably 1,800 yards, but also played both ways at defensive back,” Pruitt said when Beasley signed in December. “They won a state championship. Aaron can play multiple positions, he can be a running back, he can be a linebacker.
“But we’re going to play him at defensive back and we’re glad that we have him on our team.”
Between then and now, Beasley said he’s splitting up his training sessions between weights, conditioning and on-field work.
“Just getting ready to go to college,” Beasley said. “Making sure I’m in the best shape I can be.”
And talking to his new position coach.
“I talk to Ansley a bunch,” he said. “At least once a week.”
Beasley said he was around 220 or 225 pounds this time last year, but now is back down to 210 and feeling the benefits.
“So I feel better,” he said, “feel lighter.”
Now all that’s left to do is graduate, say his goodbyes in his hometown and get to work in Knoxville.
I went to a catholic school in kindergarten and I remember the nun/teacher standing behind me and thumping my head repeatedly because "your words aren't spaced far enough apart". I wonder how that would fly in this day and age?
I love the music and arts, but I'm also not sure I've heard of a better area to cut. If something has to be cut, you need an alternative.
lololol
So he believes we will win less than 18 games the next 3 years (averaging 6 a year)??
Guy is LEGIT butthurt over being bent over a table by UT in both sports the past year. But he's a troll and I won't go disturb him beneath his bridge.
Some kids don't like to play school. They should be taught the basics and then trades. We don't have enough people for skilled labor positions and it's getting worse. Most kids can't change the battery in their car or a tire. It's stupid to force kids to learn things they have no interest in.
Principals aren't the problem (well some are but that's different). The problem is there are more guidance counselors now than ever and they have no flipping idea what they're doing. (If anyone is a guidance counselor sorry but learn to place students better). One of my classes in grad school I was the only teacher in a room full of counselors. I tried to give them the teachers point of view but they looked at me like I grew two heads. Of course in their minds they knew more than I did about what goes on in the classroom.Don't principals make bank?
Admin salaries are what I'd want to reform across the board.
I should also say that more principals than not (the then nots are ones who are trying to fast track their way to state DOE) work their tails off for both the students and the faculty. Those principals earn every cent they make and make their schools a better placeDon't principals make bank?
Admin salaries are what I'd want to reform across the board.
Thank you for this reasonable perspective. It is like every time I hear someone say the world is getting worse, it is like they have zero perspective. Some just want to be downers I suspect. It's a right of passage.!
Each generation gets to call the next soft. Several of you 20 somethings are doing it now.
Me and mine talked about you guys even more than you think.
And my dad scoffed at us.
Meanwhile, hardcore MMA is replacing boxing and our military is filled with some of the best trained soldiers ever produced.
Because we're all fos but it's still our undeniable right.
Per Mike Griffith, Craig got put on scholarship a few months ago.

So...how did the EEs go about getting on campus before the Early Signing Period?
Pretty sure you can sign papers and enroll without being "signed", can't you?
