I went to a catholic school in kindergarten and I remember the nun/teacher standing behind me and thumping my head repeatedly because "your words aren't spaced far enough apart". I wonder how that would fly in this day and age?

I went to high school in Memphis and our shop teacher had a paddle, with holes drilled in it, that he made from a baseball bat. He made us bend over and grab our ankles when he whipped our a$$ with it. In today's environment, he would be in jail

However, please do not provoke them. Their feeble brains overload at the smallest perceived slight to which they respond with even more intense flag waving. At that point the more corpulent among them may have t-shirts become untucked from their pleated jeans revealing rotund hairy bellies and that’s not going to be good for anybody.”
