If we have to depend on Fulkerson to do anything then it’ll be a long season. I like some of the things he does but 99% of the time he just looks like the most uncoordinated basketball player in history of basketball players.
Missed his freshman season did ya?

He made the most sense of anyone to transfer, through there was a good chance he was gone until we heard no transfers were expected....with Blackshear attending NBA combine we can go hard after Cone/ORN and if neither Bone/GW return can be in play for Blackshear or another potential player come June.

If he is not picked up do we have to give him his scholly back? I thought I heard somewhere early on that a school is not obligated!

And what does that have to do with him being productive ?

Disagree. Should he be handling the ball at any point besides his patented 1 dribble hook shot? No. But he is excellent at defense and rebounding.

The comments about Fulky obviously come from folks watching him on the offensive end from time to time. He played strong defense most of the time(when he could stay out of foul trouble). He is extremely athletic to be a big man and if he develops a mid range game and learns to finish strong at the rim I think he will be fine. Some folks are just an easy target I guess.

If Fulkerson improves any little bit and Burns is as good as advertised then we should be fine down low.

Tennessee was not very good down low with Grant out........and Tennessee had 5 players that could and did play in the paint.

Even if Fulk improves and Burns is good Tennessee will not have enough depth unless something happens ( that is if Grant and Walker are gone). Not even middle of the road sec good...........no depth nothing proven.

Tennessee will have to land someone and freshman will have to play.

Other than Williams and Alexander the only backup post Barnes ever seemed to trust was Fulkerson.

What few chances Walker did get he most definitely didnt take advantage of.

That would seem to tell you Walker wasnt even as good as Fulkerson.

No loss then.

Go get us a grad transfer who can contribute then you have Kent,Burns,Fulkerson, transfer.

That's more depth than we had last year when you consider Pons could also play the 4 some.

I like Fulk, but he is clumsy. I remember against Kentucky in the SEC tournament, he tripped over his own feet getting back on defense. Fulk tripping over his own feet led to a transition layup.

Fulkerson will hopefully get better, but right now he makes 2 amazing plays and 3 head scratching plays out of every 5. If he's our top big man next year, we may be NIT bound unless Bone returns and James is elite.[/QUOTE. Fulkerson needs to add some weight and bulk. He understands the game and makes plays, but too often he appears weak inside.

Color not too worried right now. IMO Walker has some upside, but I thought he regressed a bit this year. Kent is the same size as Alexander and has a better offensive game (probably less defensive game). Burns is a massive dude. He can bang with anyone. Fulky plays bigger than his size (needs to add more weight), but I love his game. If he will simply learn to hit his layups and putbacks at 50% he will be an excellent player. Pember may or may not contribute next year (not likely if Grant or Blackshear or both are here). IMO this looks like Barnes and Co see an opportunity to upgrade their roster and Walker was the casualty.

Fulkerson shot 58.3% last season.

It would be nice if he could do anything with his right hand. I hear how Barnes is the great developer of talent and this guys been in the program for 3 yrs and can’t hold a cup of coffee right handed.
