I've already said my piece. I got a little ruffled and talked a lil trash at a pure mccrackhead idiot, and people started the usual crap with me. I wish nobody here knew anything about my personal life.
I personally appreciate the fact that you've shared your story. I guarantee you it's helped somebody.

So I just accidentally got super pumped about the arrivals this summer.

Biggest worries (generally speaking) seem to be the two lines. Reminder of who is still to arrive

3 of the top 100 Offensive Lineman in the 2019 Class are still to arrive boys & girls
Darnell Wright - #2 OT in the nation
Jackson Lampley - #14 OG in the nation
Melvin McBride - #26 OG in the nation

2 of the top 125 Defensive Lineman in HS from the 2019 Class and 2 of the top 50 Defensive Lineman in Juco
Roman Harrison - #18 WDE in the nation
Savion Williams - #1 Juco DT in the nation
Elijah Simmons - #48 DT in the nation
Darel Middleton - #4 Juco DT in the nation
Well, you accidentally got me accidentally pumped too.

I sort of don't expect newcomers to make a huge impact....but then again, that is based on the recent history of guys NOT being taught by CJP & co.

LETTUCE

I think TN baseball missed the ship the last decade that could’ve been East Tennessee high school baseball. There are a ton of pros right now from this area and TN got very very few of them.

Hell even the director of ops for baseball now is from Knoxville, played at Memphis and led the nation in batting average one year.
I think East Tennessee baseball will stay pretty strong. We'll get our share, despite that BS endowment crap that Vandy gets away with.

Yeah, maybe they don't come in and win jobs. But competition breeds improvement and the current guys on campus will realize early on that these 7 lineman coming in, aren't coming in to sit and watch. The defensive line I expect to see Rocker using 6-8 in rotation instead of his 3-5 from last year. So I think everyone in that group will be competing for more snaps all year.

On the offensive line Wright is coming in to be a starting tackle, and unless he comes in grossly out of shape I expect him, Morris, Jahmir, and Tatum will be in a battle from the beginning. Guard depth will allow the staff to find their best 3 for that interior, since it seems Carvin could be a potential center instead of a guard.

The lyric I quoted earlier is from their song "Heaven". Another one to check out is their song "Run to the Water"...one of my favorite lines in the song is "...a million mile fall from grace, thank God we missed the ground." They have tons of good songs.

The Lightning Crashes band, right?

Good points. The depth is key for both lines. I think they will all push the current starters and might be pushing their way into important situational roles. A few are poised to potentially start from day 1.

Wright is going to start. Whether that's game 1 or game 6, he'll be there.
McBride & Lampley both will provide good depth and push for late season PT at OG.

Harrison may play on STs and as a situational pass rusher. Possible redshirt candidate.
Williams will be a huge boost to DE depth. Should be pushing for starter role by mid-season.
Simmons is going to be a nice 3rd option at NT and may push for the other guys a bit. He's massive.
Middleton should also be a great boost to DE depth. Should be a solid 2nd string option.

Christian rock talk? We have truly scraped bottom. Do we have enough lifeboats?

I didn't wanna be that guy.

At least it's Live. Like, they had a few mainstream jams in the 90's. Haven't had the need or urge to listen to any deeper cuts, but it could be way worse... like soft-rock stuff that 'hip' Presbyterian churches play.

I’ve found that most people think the ‘worst’ fans are either their rival fans, rival schools they are closest to, or fans they have personally encountered. So, every fanbase is the ‘worst’ fanbase according to which other school is asked.

That said, I’ve been around Fla fans and had no problem but have read on here where they actually pour piss cups on you. Is that true?

I’ve been to different stadiums and always encounter GREAT fans and your local idiots, in every base. I enjoy the great fans and show the same hospitality that they are showing. Basically every fanbase in the SEC is great with their own share of unintelligent beings...

As much as I enjoy poking fun at UGA, I have more friends and associates from the UGA fanbase than any other from the SEC. I'm in Atlanta frequently, and I'll make the trek to Athens because it's a nice little day trip to a beautiful city. Great place to get away from the grind of ATL. I wear my orange and UT gear all over Athens and UGA campus, and I've never once had a problem. Plenty of banter which is fine, because I genuinely enjoy meeting people who are fans of other schools and learning more about traditions, history, etc...

I've had the misfortune of having to travel to Gainesville for work several times, and while I've never been in town for a UT v UF gameday, I can vouch that it's never a hospitable place for UT fans. I can also personally attest to people who've been there for the UT v UF football game, and their fans absolutely will throw bodily fluids at you. UF fans are notorious for trying to start fights as well. No doubt every fanbase has their fair share of idiots who will do their best to live up to every negative stereotype imaginable, but as we know, the exception does not make the rule

With all that being said I'll travel to Oxford, MS any college football weekend. An afternoon in the Grove is something that every college football fan needs to experience at least once.

If Barnes wants to go elsewhere again, I think UT will wish him well and take the buyout. UT simply wasn't prepared to have another high-profile coaching search this year. Timewise, he hit the sweet spot.

Barnes waited until all good coaches were off market and knew we wouldn’t want a search with no good candidates

I may be wrong, but I think Harrison will be another Taylor type. Likely won't start, but don't be surprised to see him being a specialist to rush the passer on 3rd downs. I could see them moving Taylor on to the line and bringing in Harrison on the opposite side to give a different look with more explosive speed on the edges to get to the QB.

Simmons, Lampley, McBride I'd guess would be likely RS candidates...which would be a GREAT thing if we can RS those guys. But I expect Wright to be starting sooner rather than later and the Juco guys will get reps early/often.

I actually went to see a Stryper show back in the 80s. Even looking back in retrospect now, I still can't quite be sure what to make of all that.

LSU has no choice imo. You can’t fire Wade until FBi investigation is complete. So you can’t hire a new coach for who knows how long that case takes. If you fire wade and it turns out nothing is there then lawsuit. They probably verified that it won’t come back on school and only him so just letting him coach it out until more comes out
