The lyric I quoted earlier is from their song "Heaven". Another one to check out is their song "Run to the Water"...one of my favorite lines in the song is "...a million mile fall from grace, thank God we missed the ground." They have tons of good songs.

Lightning Crashes, I Alone, Selling the Drama, All Over You...

Throwing Copper is probably the best album to check out to get your feet wet.

Who dis?

Generally, I connect much more with "secular" musicians that battle with dark themes entertwined with hope more than Christian artists where 90% of the songs is about how great everything is. That just ain't my life. Artists such as "Discrepencies, All Good Things, Add1ction" strike a chord with me. Discrepencies is parental advisory, so if you don't go there, that's my disclaimer. The other two artists are clean/very near clean lyrics
Hey Nick, another song you might like (and quite timely for our current position on the calendar) is the song Thirty-Three by Smashing Pumpkins. Many have speculated that it's about Jesus' last days as a human. Whether the artist meant it that way or not, if you listen to the lyrics from that perspective, it's really good.

Yo...so on the Ainge show I heard Drew Richmond brought up.

Ya'll think it's kind of a selfish move to bail for this season? I mean maybe he wasn't going to start...who knows, but the depth & experience would have been huge I think.

in my experience, if you have folks that don't want to be there, best to let them go. at that point, it's addition by subtraction. if he was going to get on board, it would have happened long before he decided to leave. probably a good thing for all involved.

I'm surprised more people arent talking about the Kongbo interview on the Athletic. I know it's mostly a confirmation of what we all have heard over the last few years of Butch's reign, but it's interesting to here it from someone that was there.
agree about the interest part. but i think most of us are just willing to let the CBJ deal go. a lot of that we already knew....and we've moved on.

but do agree, it's interesting to hear about it from the perspective of someone that went thru it, with both coaches....not sure how much discussion it's worth at this point?

I'm most interested in the players liking Butch because he was a players' coach, but also realizing he had no clue how to actually develop players and create a competent scheme that he could then teach. Kongbo mostly seemed to point fingers at administrative staff and athletic department employees.

Its like a scab people can't help but to pick at it and watch it bleed again.

Barnes said what he said for a reason.

He wanted to say it.

Clearly he still has beef with something/someone.

Just read the article. Barnes is a no nonsense, black and white guy. He plays his cards close but has been very candid about this whole deal. Glad we kept him. Long term, if he wants to go elsewhere, it is what it is.

Kongbo was never going to be good regardless. He got punket out and embarrassed in front of the whole team by Barnett early on and it showed his true colors.

So I just accidentally got super pumped about the arrivals this summer.

Biggest worries (generally speaking) seem to be the two lines. Reminder of who is still to arrive

3 of the top 100 Offensive Lineman in the 2019 Class are still to arrive boys & girls
Darnell Wright - #2 OT in the nation
Jackson Lampley - #14 OG in the nation
Melvin McBride - #26 OG in the nation

2 of the top 125 Defensive Lineman in HS from the 2019 Class and 2 of the top 50 Defensive Lineman in Juco
Roman Harrison - #18 WDE in the nation
Savion Williams - #1 Juco DT in the nation
Elijah Simmons - #48 DT in the nation
Darel Middleton - #4 Juco DT in the nation

As bad as the puppies are, Clemson fans are by far the worst in my book. Clemson is obnoxious as the new money Florida fans in the 90s were with Spurrier.
I’ve found that most people think the ‘worst’ fans are either their rival fans, rival schools they are closest to, or fans they have personally encountered. So, every fanbase is the ‘worst’ fanbase according to which other school is asked.

That said, I’ve been around Fla fans and had no problem but have read on here where they actually pour piss cups on you. Is that true?

I’ve been to different stadiums and always encounter GREAT fans and your local idiots, in every base. I enjoy the great fans and show the same hospitality that they are showing. Basically every fanbase in the SEC is great with their own share of unintelligent beings...

Yeah, not sure I buy everything Kongbo is selling.

This is where Alabama has been so good. They wanted Kongbo, sure they did. But did they question it just enough not to go the extra mile which is why he ended up at Tennessee?
