UCLA is a group of individuals. According to the most popular mythology, humans have free will. God doesn't override this free will. So, no, god either could or would not change UCLA's mind.

Or maybe Barnes is a devil worshipper, hell if I know.

I was a big fan of Barnes until this nonsense. He needs some tact training ASAP and our PR dept needs an overhaul.

Dude, hes #1 paid coach in america by farrr, coaching at a blueblood, can get 5 stars all day and compete for natties with ease. Hate UK, but that's a TOP job. Hes being honest too.

That's fine. He shouldn't have said what he did. I've never disagreed with that.

But there is a TON of context that has been totally left out of this conversation... And at this point, for some it's just being ignored.

Further, it's being said that it doesn't matter.

Fundamentally, I just disagree with idea of acceptance without having all the facts. So I went and watched the press conference and made up my own mind.

I encourage others to do the same.

The fact the highest paid coach in all of Men's basketball was listening to UCLA who was offering him a likely pay cut says more about Cal saying he wanted to go to UCLA than Barnes, who for the record is still here in Knoxville answer a specific question he was asked.

And I'm sure at the time Barnes was leaving UT, UCLA pitched him an offer and he requested they pay the buyout all that happened before UT counter I'd guess.

What is childish about his fist pumps? It is nothing more than a gesticulation of pleasure which most human beings have. It's not like he's running over and jumping in front of somebody's face and doing it. If he were to actually do that, I suspect Gulf would have a lot higher viewership because it would be indicative of more mano a mano environment than just whacking a ball with a stick.

The problem was Barnes never felt like and to a degree he is right that Tennessee doesn’t support basketball like he wants. Idk if it’s true but i heard PF didn’t go on the road with basketball team one time?

Barnes said that wasn’t true today and that he and Fulmer have a great relationship. Oh wait, I didn’t watch the video so I can’t understand what Barnes said! He probably hates Fulmer! 😱

Maybe, but they can still recruit and they pour money into bball. And bluebloods don't really change. It means they were foundational in the sport. Top 10 in all time wins, titles, stuff like that. Bluebloods aren't "flavor of the month".

Reminds me a lot of UT football. Outsiders talk a lot of shiz of us being yesteryear, but we still have a lot of the right things in place...just need the right coach.
