Yep - the whole point is that, after all of this, the leash keeps getting shorter and shorter.
He had all the goodwill in the world from this fanbase. He could’ve rode first round exits all the way to retirement.
That’s not the case anymore.
Why do I have to watch the video? I read his comments verbatim, in context. What difference does it make? He said what he said
What was the point of him saying any of this? What was he hoping to gain? I'm not even sure why they called a press conference tbh. Barnes current lack of self awareness is bizarre.
I read the whole thing. I’be never heard you speak either. Guess I can’t understand anything you’re saying then. Might as well close the forum down!Whether or not it is the case here, context makes alot of difference. It's why journalism has gone down...because guys want to put quick hitters on twitter that can be taken out of context. Sad day when people don't want to actually watch the source of something.
Maybe so but I can't fault a guy for at least entertaining what most basketball historians would consider a dream job. We as Tennessee fans need to remember how terrible in basketball we have been at times in the past 30 years. Sure Green and Pearl had some really good teams but it's been the basketball doldrums the majority of the time. A good coach is leading the charge in Knoxville and I for one am thankful. I had more fun attending games this year than I've had in awhile. As a fan I never take these coaching situations personal and get my panties in a wad like some. I root for the University of Tennessee first and foremost. Whoever is coaching them is secondary but also gets my rooting interest. This is a business. I've been at my job for 11 years and it's been very good to me but if a better situation comes up at some point I would seriously consider taking that chance. What Coach Barnes pondered is no different. Most fans just don't wanna hear the truth. Especially those with orange colored glasses. Of which I also proudly wear.
FACT: Tennessee Basketball program is not a blue-bloodAnd Barnes told everyone out there including the fans and the recruits that he doesn’t consider us on that level
Somebody needs to. You need help with itso now i'm supposed to look to Finebaum, Bass, Jack Burton, Mike from Macon and a KY message board to determine how i should think about this? oh, and twitter. dont' forget twitter.
got it.
my world just got a lot easier. letting others doing the thinking for me, will be less stressful.
lol.
