2020 Presidential Race

If your employer came to you and said they could give you a 10k raise but the only way would be for you to pay 5k more in taxes. Would that be a positive for you? Would you take the deal.
The Fox News person tweet didn't mention that you wouldn't pay current insurance premiums with that tax raise..

That ain't what Mayor Pete is about. Actually no Democrat currently running or liberal is about that.
I have read that he supports Medicare for all who want it or single payer, and forgiveness of some student debt, and no cuts to social spending. Sounds like free sh!t to me. He is the typical lib with his views on gun control, climate change, abortion, etc. , etc.

Nah, that ain't free stuff. Single payer health care means a bump in taxes for everyone, but no insurance premiums. Student loan debt forgiveness sounds like a tax credit/exemption, you guys are fond of those; increased spending power reintroduced into the economy, trickle up economics. There shouldn't be cuts to social spending. Trump is running record deficits, so I'm not sure why this is an issue for Pete suddenly.
Pro-choice, environmentally conscious, I'm not sure what isn't to like here.
Now that it is official we will get some more concrete policy ideas, and we can go from there.

I hate to tell you, but older voters (the people who actually vote) don't want a man representing their country, arm in arm with the First Husband and kissing him in public. They may more or less accept gays and have them in their families, but they don't want to watch 2 men kissing.
Yay, bigotry!

Will not be a bump for everyone, the bottom 50% barely pay anything and that wouldn't change, us in the top 50% would take the hit for ours and those in the bottom 50%.
No I don't want to collapse the economy to maybe change the temp .0001 degree over 100 years
No I don't want millions of abortions as a form of birth control, so there is plenty not to like here

If you don't like his policies, fair enough.

'Trickle up economics is a fantasy. In reality, there are two basic economic theories that come down to Supply side vs. Demand side. Keynesian economics is what crashed the economy in 2008 by giving unqualified people loans.
