Prayers to you and yours. There will be no shortage of stupidity to keep your mind off life if that helps.

And for the record, I deduced your gender (for those who still recognize gender) but you do a hell of a job masking it!

Again, prayers and blessings to your family.
are you talking to @UTProf or @chargervol?

:)

josiah james is a combo and lamont can run it too. Are we not more worried about 4/5? Dont trust fulky, burns, walker much. Pember prob RSs, but hes a stretch anyway i believe. If TTU can get tariq owens and uk got that big bruiser, surely we can find a good one too. Barnes has proven we can compete and grad transfers want that, a chance to win big.
I think it would be better if Turner concentrates on scoring rather than running the offense.

This.

I much prefer that approach over Pruitt's excuses. I like Pruitt, but Plenty of teams have crap to work with and scheme and develop it (mizzou, baylor briles years, okie st, etc). Not hating terribly on pruitt, but butch got ripped for lowering expectations his own way, then pruitt says we dont have the right guys and he'll recruit over them (lowering expectations, making excuses, buying time, etc) and fans run to his side in spite of the guys playing that give their all. I just want coaches to COACH, no excuses. If you have less talent, outcoach others (like..hmm...Barnes) rather than saying your kids stink.
SMH...now truth is "excuses"...What a jerk.

Truth. And Pruitt wasn’t making excuses. He was sending a message to his players. He literally said some are doing it the right way. Others aren’t, but I promise you I’ll sign 25 guys in February who will. That’s a message to players not us.

The intern on the other hand was talking about how guys have never been on an airplane before and how young we are, telling us it takes 8 years to build a successful program. Those are excuses

best bass take i've seen in a while....

Saying you don't have the players to compete is an excuse, any way you shake it.
It’s not an excuse if you’re sending the team a message. If Rick Barnes says to a player “if you don’t do it right you’ll be on the bench” is that an excuse? No, of course not. And that’s what Pruitt was saying.

Another thing...it's really not fair to compare football and basketball.

Barnes was in year 3 before he got UT over the 500 mark. I think the year 3 success was actually a bit ahead of schedule, no where near the same sort of expectations on that year that Pruitt is starting to see in his 2nd year. 8 wins or more in football isn't a cake walk in the SEC.

Basketball is a 1 recruit sport, you get 1 guy who is a real legit NBA talent and you take a 500 squad to a conference champion NCAA team (Matt McMahon at Murray State for example). So it's really not apples to apples. Most good/great basketball coaches can scheme up with less talent far easier than a football coach.

Reasons why this is true
1. Less bodies to deal with less players 12-15 instead of 85, 3-5 assistants/staffers instead of 9 on field and another half a dozen
2. Good shooting is good shooting period. If you can shoot the ball height, athletic talent, speed, agility, all that doesn't matter. Shooting isn't a "talent" it's a skill that you can improve through practice and hardwork.
3. Because of 1 & 2, you can take a bad team and make them good/great with less pieces in place.

It really is rare that 1 player can impact a football team's success as much as 1 player can impact a basketball team's success.

Senior Jake Bentley is undefeatable

I’ve heard about it since his freshman year when he was 11 years old
This individual took his first steps during week 1 of spring camp while getting some leadership reps and used the potty for a 5-star poopie the first time during his freshman year spring game. Real champion of life individual with resilience.

Despite all the energy vampires he became a foundation one of the major bricks to be placed.

Also, unrelated I'm going to film my own Farm Bureau commercials of CJP & Charlie spoofing all the Butch Jones ones.

Unless you don't have the players to compete. Surely you're not saying a good coach could make me a good football player. I'll be honest. If I was a male aged 20 with a football physique, I would be running away from contact.

You don't have the look
This is more akin to bass's look.
