I
I was 296 last June. I got down to 226 in January but am back up to around 245, damnit!

I've used the zero calorie Crush packs a lot to help with water (I like the grape flavor the best). And Diet Mtn. Dew is my new best friend. It's so hard what the bad foods chemically do to our brains.
it’s weird. I took a diet break yesterday for the first time in 2 months and I ate pizza. It’s nowhere near as good as I remember it being

Im going to humble brag 1 sec because it makes me feel good. I gained aboit 10-12 pounds in a month and a half and no longer look like a holocaust survivor. 5x a week workout with protein shakes, creatine, and a nice clean bulk. I feel a lot more confident recently:)
Wait, that look isn't "in"?
My fam lied?

All this talk about people shedding pounds makes me want to get back to the gym. I am hovering around 260 and that is a good bit too heavy for me. Thanks to all of you for being public about some of your struggles. It makes me want to do it more. Much appreciated.

It just makes me want to drop my membership. I haven't gone in like a year and a half. 18 x $23 = $414 wasted.

The only reason I signed up was because I didn't have a bike, but now I do. Now it's the fear of judgment for cancelling my membership that's holding me back from doing it. Ironically enough from a "judgment free" big box gym.

Its like its too much isn't it. Like too rich or sweet. I cant drink regular coke now because it taste like I'm just eating a block of sugar

For 6 mil a year, let him go to UCLA.

Westwood is a beautiful campus. Great weather and beaches

More money to pay for better assistants to do the grunt work.

Less time on road recruiting. More time to focus on family and coaching.

Easier pac 12 conference. Better path to a championship.

He's in his twilight years. Can't blame him.

Sir, can’t you see that we are well past the Rick Barnes discussion?

Something I've learned and still have problems with: "Abs start in the kitchen" and "you can't outwork a bad diet" Look at the caloric burn of various 30 min workouts vs. a cheeseburger or few slices of pizza. It's a good reality check as you make goals. I'm personally way off my game on this but maybe you can use that advice better than I currently am.
This x 1,000. I'm not a nutrition or fitness expert, but I've learned through simple observation that if you want to lose weight, it's happening almost entirely through diet. If you want to be healthy, that's almost entirely through exercise.

@Bassmaster_Vol sorry to bring it all up here theres just a lot in the bible i find hard to understand tbh
At the end of the day, the universe is a chaotic place with no inherent plan or meaning. We’re all here by chance and could be erased by chance in an instant. All you can do is try to do your best with what you can control. Try to find meaning in things or people that bring you happiness, whether that’s friends and family, work, or hobbies. Try not to worry too much about the fact that there is no reason for existence, let alone the cruelty of it sometimes, or the fact that it could all be permanently over at any time.

Take solace in knowing that no matter how badly you may fail or mess up, the universe doesn’t really care and it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. The overwhelming majority of us will be completely forgotten within a few generations.

getting started is the hardest part. i've known for a long time what i need to.

i severely lacked the want to. still do some days. but i finally got started, have some results, so it's easier to pick it back up if i put it down for a day or two.....
I hear you. I got down around 230 a little over a year ago. It is very difficult to be consistent. For me, it can be as simple as cutting out the sugar drinks and getting in my 12,000 steps every day, however I can manage that. If I can throw in 30 minutes with weights, I am golden.

Man, what a sad and tragic worldview.
