This equivalent of calling Georgia SEC champion in football even after they lost SECCG.

Tournament winner is the championship. The season is about seeding

I’ve never felt the regular season Championship was a big deal. It’s not what you play for. I want the Conference tourney title and the Natty. Basketball is a tournament sport.

Regular season championships are for baseball.

No doubt it means a lot. The tournament champion is conference champion though.

A 4 loss SEC champion will be a 1 seed.
