If the SEC were the GoT lands or houses, what schools would be where/which house? 10 minutes or less, try to come up with whatever you can...

Missouri - Essos - Red Waste...figure it out

A&M - Dorne - one of the last great powers to join and always seeming like an outsider.

Vandy - the citadel - useless know-it-alls.

LSU - Essos - Dothraki with Ogre talking gibberish

Kentucky - North of the wall / the whitewalkers. Stoops is most definitely a chubby night king.

Tennessee - The North/Starks/Jon Snow - Pruitt is the young wolf aka KING A DA NORF. He kicked Allister's butt out and now rules under the guidance of the old and wise Maester Aemon Targaryen, the last of the dragons from the golden years, aka Phil Fulmer. The ongoing slogan in the North is "winter is coming", a warning that what has been before will come again. Also may be stated as "next year" by some. Additionally, Snow is part Targaryen, so we about to burn that motherluvin red keep to the ground.

Florida - Braavos - Rich in resources

Georgia - Tyrells - rich and always close to the throne, but never on top. Always begging to marry the powerful, but at the end of the day just a group made up of an old queen and a young male queen.

And of course Bama is the red keep/Lannisters. After all, a Lannister always pays his recruit.

All I got...give it a go.
Dang son...you just went full nerdtard..I admire you for that. Everybody knows you don't ever go full nerdtard..it takes a lot of courage.

Bearcat Brown, Whitey Caldwell, Ronny Garvin. . .

As an aside; Ron Wright's son is a poster here on VolNation.
Knew the guy who ran Smokey Mountain Wrestling in Knoxville for a long time. Some of family members would dress up in casts with crutches and stuff so that the “heels” could pick them out of the crowd and beat them up.

Fun times as a kid.

(NegaChaney alert)

JG: "not much difference in the offense between this year and last year."

That's what I was afraid of. More of run-run-bail out 3rd and long in store for us? Sucks to hear. I was hoping an off chance Chaney returns to Purdue days. Back to the innovative, groundbreaking offense of run to set up PA passes, fullbacks, and 7 man fronts. Maybe we can hope to achieve the excellence of an LSU style offense that gives Bama and UF so much trouble. Impressive.
I’m not so sure JG can make that determination after one spring practice. I doubt Chaney knows how he’s going to put this offense together yet.

Syracuse in the 2nd round is terrifying
Concerning...but I don't know about terrifying. Cuse is one of those sneaky good teams.

Here is the deal...IF..we play at a high level...we can beat anybody, but if we play badly..we could get knocked out by almost anybody. It took everything a really good LSU team had to beat us at home...with ref help..and we were didn't play even close to our best on defense or offense. We have still not seen this teams best game. If Bowden, Bone, Schofield, Williams and Alexander all have a good game at the same time...whew boy..😲

Hell we haven't really had a game when more than two of them were really on yet...I want to see that game.

Ahhhh, nothing like taking a quote out of context on the 1st day of spring practice to reinforce a preconceived opinion.

Must be spring practice time!

If Vol players read message boards, they burden themselves.
Come on..I agreed with you, but there is more to it than that, and you know it. Unfair or unfounded expectations by a fanbase have torpedoed young mens careers before.

Look...I expect those guys to be really good to great UT offensive linemen too..I just don't think they will start right away..but I may very well be wrong. If they do good for us.

Syracuse is always a problem come tournament time. If we face them, need Grant to own the high post and Bone will need to penetrate (in before TWSS) and collapse the zone for kick outs. Then you have to hope Bowden, Turner and Admiral are making shots when they get good looks.

How are those “unfounded expectations” presented to the PLAYERS? Coaches sit em down and tell em how disappointed the fans are in them? Or is it SELF EVIDENT and the “torpedo” fired by themselves? It always has boiled down to if they’re good enough...they play. If the HC plays his best players. You and I have a different evaluation of Wright and Morris. I think they’re the top level program changing types that pop up on legit teams like tOSU and Bama every year. You seem to think they’re the same ole same ole with higher star ratings who vie for playing time at the end of their redshirt freshman or redshirt sophomore season. Maybe you’re right but I strongly feel otherwise. Facts happen with or without our permission. Football.

I kind of look at it the opposite. I would rather them not be day one starters. I wish Richmond would stay but i would rather not have 2 day one true freshman starters on the OL. Especially with a non mobile QB

I agree with Hank on this one. I would much rather be a 2 seed in the South (Louisville region) than be a 1 in the Mid West (KC region) and possibly face Syracuse in 2nd game.

Teams with Length give us the most problems because they can challenge our post players inside. We would have to depend on our 3 point shooting which is always a gamble.
