I was a lanky wiry twig till I was in my 20s. I was always good at baseball, but I got really good at basketball the older I got. I wasn't good at football, but it is my favorite sport to watch.I was a pretty good baseball player growing up till I would up in the outfield and somehow I was not gifted with the fundamental skill of depth perception. Thus my transition to football.

Never that simple, but imagine the worst case:Does anyone know if UT has the 2 seed locked up or do we have to win Saturday to clinch?
One of my favorite recruits from the class. I'm still holding out hope for the kiiiid. We got the coaches now. The confidence of year 2 in Pruitt's system will more than make up for the DL. Can't wait to see Warrior flying around out there. A name like that deserves to be in the NFL.Nigel Warrior speaks

I loved playing centerfield, but I loved playing third even more. I was a decent contact line drive hitter, and drew a lot of walks, so I usually hit second.Good question, I was a decent second baseman and a solid hitter. I think it was when I moved up a league in 7th grade and couldn't break into the infield. I played so deep in the outfield as I was horrified a ball would go over my head. Thus I wound up having to sprint and make a diving or sliding play on any routine fly ball. I just couldn't tell how hard a ball was hit until it was too late. Oh well. That's why I played catcher in softball. That was fun, if I had to do it over I would have played catcher as a kid its a fun position and you are always in the action.
Thanks for posting, I just finished watching Free Solo on Hulu last night. The perfect El Capitan trilogy to watch — in this order — is Valley Uprising, Dawn Wall and Free Solo. All great films, the first two on Netflix now.
Valley Uprising traces the entertaining history of Yosemite climbing, particularly El Cap, and introduces you to Alex Honnold at the end, giving you a contextual sense of what a freak he really is. Then Dawn Wall tells Tommy Caldwell's crazy story along with his and Kevin Jorgeson's intense El Cap ascent, and that gives you background depth for Free Solo, in which Tommy is a huge resource for Alex.
Meru is a good background on Jimmy Chin, who made Free Solo, but of course it's separate from the El Capitan films. Damn, I love climbing films tho.

JG: "not much difference in the offense between this year and last year."
That's what I was afraid of. More of run-run-bail out 3rd and long in store for us? Sucks to hear. I was hoping an off chance Chaney returns to Purdue days. Back to the innovative, groundbreaking offense of run to set up PA passes, fullbacks, and 7 man fronts. Maybe we can hope to achieve the excellence of an LSU style offense that gives Bama and UF so much trouble. Impressive.
