So wait, why did you end up in the outfield?

Good question, I was a decent second baseman and a solid hitter. I think it was when I moved up a league in 7th grade and couldn't break into the infield. I played so deep in the outfield as I was horrified a ball would go over my head. Thus I wound up having to sprint and make a diving or sliding play on any routine fly ball. I just couldn't tell how hard a ball was hit until it was too late. Oh well. That's why I played catcher in softball. That was fun, if I had to do it over I would have played catcher as a kid its a fun position and you are always in the action.

Problem is, we don't know if the NCAA has even started an investigation yet. I suspect they haven't. Remember this is an FBI probe. I suspect it will take months for the NCAA to complete their investigation.

I get that, but when your coach talks about buying players, and it is caught in an FBI wiretap...What do you need to investigate? It is a matter of how many players were bought, not if players were bought.

It has to go through a process. I know it may be obvious that it was him on the phone but he can deny it was him. It will have to be investigated before he can be penalized.

And a bad football coach.

I don't think of him as a bad football coach. He resurrected the Raiders early on during trainwreck years and I think that balances out the failure at the end of his Tampa tenure. I say average. I am no Tampa fan, so I am certainly biased as a Raider fan. He will be judged on this how this second stint works out, I think. Crazy? You are damn right. Lol

Gruden might actually have gotten a first down had he not traded his best offensive player.

Also might have stopped other teams from getting first down had he not traded his best defensive player.

I'm watching Free Solo. I'm about to have a heart attack

The perfect El Capitan trilogy to watch — in this order — is Valley Uprising, Dawn Wall and Free Solo. All great films, the first two on Netflix now.

Valley Uprising traces the entertaining history of Yosemite climbing, particularly El Cap, and introduces you to Alex Honnold at the end, giving you a contextual sense of what a freak he really is. Then Dawn Wall tells Tommy Caldwell's crazy story along with his and Kevin Jorgeson's intense El Cap ascent, and that gives you background depth for Free Solo, in which Tommy is a huge resource for Alex.

Meru is a good background on Jimmy Chin, who made Free Solo, but of course it's separate from the El Capitan films. Damn, I love climbing films tho.

Don’t you think with these allegations LSU would suspend Wade and player in question pending investigation?

OR double down on stupid. I don’t care you bunch of damn cheaters.

Agree. This has been really strange. He may have a method to the madness - but at this point it appears to be all madness.

I watched his climb a second time. I just can’t get over how often he is there with literally no more grip than his fingertips an less than an inch for his feet. It’s unreal.

Lost the second quarter by 17 so they're down 11 at the half.

Scanning through the box score just now-- we're shooting well, State is struggling from 3, even rebounding, we have more assists, State has like 10 more FTs than we do (we've only attempted 3 so far, and then the WHOPPER. 18 turnovers. We have 18 TO's. Wow.

I like what Tommy Caldwell (or Jimmy Chin?) said about him — essentially that Alex is performing an Olympic-level athletic feat where if he doesn't win the gold medal, he dies.
