Time to move on. Ignont gave just as good of snaps for us last yr. Tootoo coming in along with a possible Reid resurgence and who knows what we get from JJ and Crouch at the position. All of those guys have higher ceilings
Agreed injuries played a major factor but I was out on him after he was talked out of transferring last offseason.

The more one studies past classes, the less you expect from highly recruited guys. Nearly half will never do much (Gray, Byrd) or live up to expectation (DR, Kmac, infinite list). Hope to get the best recruits, then sit back and wait till they do something first.

Yeah..but considering our skinny LB corp, it would/will be nice for us to hit on these guys at a higher clip. I know what I said sounded like I was completely writing him off, but that isn't really how I feel..I have just severely tempered my expectations for excellence from JJP.

I hope he turns it around for sure, but it might take him a couple more years to make an impact, and I have concerns that he can hang on academically that long...we will see...I am pulling for him, but if doesn't get it together, he is gonna get recruited over quickly I think.

@Freak - I'm just curious who you were quoting in the above. I mean we already knew that Hall and Antonutti had RETIRED from football. We knew that Trey is out indefinitely and not expected by many fans to ever return. We also knew that Kennedy would be coming back from injury (Pruitt said he could have played today if we had a game).

This is how I would have written that:
Simonton.

Just saw Captain Marvel.

I was told I was supposed to hate it, but I didn’t. It’s by no means a perfect movie, but it’s not terrible. 7/10

Some buds from work and I are going to go see it next week. Looking forward to it. I do not know why some people are up in arms about this movie.

Looks like I was right about Kirkland...
You said NEXT year tho. If he doesn’t play this year he’ll still be involved in the program. Maybe it wasn’t your intention, but you made it sound like he was departing this year.

Lincoln was a great president, considering that he saved our country you should be thankful...like I said, the indians lost, just like thousands of other groups throughout all of history. It is sad, but judging those men by todays wimpfest morality is goofy.

The land of North America would be in much better shape and much more beautiful if the Original Americans had won...

Too many damn people and destructive developments just for more “stuff”

Guess you are too busy for football then since it has more downtime per game than baseball.
I'm an all or nothing type of person. Either I'm 100% in or I'm 100% out.

I don't have time for baseball right now in my life. It's played every single day for 7+ months, during the daytime hours mostly. I'm a 39 year old man with two kids, a wife, a good job, and a Tennessee Vol addiction. Somewhere along the line you have to trim the tree of sports you follow closely.

Like I said, it's for kids, stay at home moms and old folks. When my kids are grown and gone and I'm retired I might start following closely again. But I just don't have time for a sport with a 162 game season where the games are 3-4hrs long in the afternoons. Sorry.

For me, the weakest positional group is RB.

Chandler is gold.
Tim Jordan has vision like Helen Keller.
Jeremy Banks has as much wiggle as a 2x4.
Eric Gray is injured and I just don’t think he gets more than 200 yards all season.
Fils-Aime isn’t a natural. Staff didn’t like him doing anything other than jet sweeps.
Princeton Fant isn’t a natural either.

Just an odd collection imo.

Same. This is why I don’t follow basketball either. 162 games. 81 games. Too many games.

Gray will definetly run for more than 200 yards. Everything else I agree with.

There are a few 2nd spring practice LBs that I wouldn't be surprised to see make impact.

Page, Reid, Ignont among them. Entering their 2nd full camp with CJP gives them more of a leg up on the incoming guys than people realize.

Crouch at this point could be a first day player though, since he's physically got the size & strength. Roman also coming in early in amazing shape. I like the direction this position group is heading.

Yeah I haven't watched an NBA game in years. But the scheduling of college basketball is perfect for folks like me. 2 games a week, one week night and one on Saturday (usually) and they're only 2 hours long. Especially if you record the game and skip commercials, you can watch a Vol basketball game in about 60-75 minutes. And my kids love it so we watch together many times. It's perfect!
