I'm projecting my own aholishness, most likely. Classics are classics for a reason, and listing them off doesn't really move the needle. Rap and country are polarizing.

Top albums:

Look Mexico - Uniola
Pavement - Wowee Zowee
Killers - Hot Fuss
STRFKR - Reptilians
Brand New - Deja Intendu
And I like almost all of Kanye's discography up to what, G.O.O.D Music?

Since Spotify, everything has been one off's saved to my song sections.

Recent saved songs:
Sex In the City - Hobo Johnson
Car Camping - Goth Babe
17 - Youth Lagoon
Spit Fountain - Algernon Cadwallader
Renee - SALES
Antropocene - Samsa

@chavisut sorry again for being an ahole. I just feel pretentious myself listing this stuff out.
see i've never heard of most those bands and i'll probably check em out.

If you like bluegrass check out Lost Dog Street Band. I listed some modern bands in my previous post too. Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Wood Brothers and Julian Lage are each worth a listen if you're open to all types of music.

We try to vary, but often end up back up on The Farm (Bonnaroo). But our visit last year made us think the lineup has passed us by. The experience is hands down the GOAT, but the deteroriating lineup finally outweighed the experience. They've strayed greatly from rock, jam roots to a majority of stuff we don't fully vibe with.

Also been:
Shaky Knees
Hangout
Moogfest
Mountain Oasis
Belechere, if that counts
Coachella

May try Lolla soon or else keep going to Shaky Knees in Atlanta. 100% rock or indie, though I'd like more variation, it's tough to argue with the lineup. Downside is experience is on the very low end. No camping, last show ends at 11 iirc, and people are very...normal.

The fun of Bonnaroo has always been all the weirdos and beautiful souls there. The community and vibes there are unmatched. They are grateful for everything around them. The opposite end of the spectrum is Coachella, that culture is absolute trash. Only went because my sister lived there and had never been to a fest before, plus the weather. You had to drink in designated areas FFS and people rarely went to shows before 6! At Roo people are braving 100 degrees and sun to see their favorite artists and it's a beautiful thing.

Edit: oh and Warped Tour at 16 :D
Trying Forecastle fest this year but not a fan in general i like going to see a show with one band i love. feels like festies u are paying for bands you dont care about. Plus im too old for them now.

Check out this new movie coming out, looks awesome...

That looks awesome...really want to know who the two guys are that say they wrote it all.

And BGS, I'm 37 but appreciate anything from classic rock, Motown, Conway Twitty, Five Finger Death Punch, Pantera to Three Six Mafia, Kid Cudi, Logic Outkast, K-Os, etc.

There's more good music than just one or two genres. A lot of rap is trash but the true, original artists in rap are just as good as the greats of any style of music....most of the most creative lyricists of all time are rappers.

I could name off lesser knowns but they’d all be in the folk or Americana realm.

Look Mexico's Uniola is very solid and if you like Americana you'll like them more than anything else I've mentioned..

Mathy melodies (guitar/guitar/bass work is superb), unpolished but not too-raw vocals, super talented drummer, occasional lap steel.. Big sound with a lot of intricacies, but not overwhelming on either.

Kansas, Groot, and Superman are my top picks from this album, but it's very easy to listen to all the way through.

Got a little of that Tame Impala thing going on, but less reverb and more metal influence on the guitar. Pretty cool vibe, though not exactly my cup.
