He's had one turnover in three games. Hardesty has matched that. Creer fumbled about one in every five touches last year.

Foster is just missing his mentor. Had he had a chest bump before the game he would have been a lot more disciplined.

I think that there can be double standards applied in situations like this. If UT had been capable of executing and playing semi-decent football - they may have been fired up by the emotion that Arian showed on the field in that play. Instead, it sent them back 15 yards, we fumbled on the next play, and everyone forgot how to play football. The guy was fired up to play one of our biggest rivals...I can forgive this in light of some of the other crap I saw on the field....

I place the Hardesty fumble on Crompton that pass should have never been thrown to him with a DB bearing down on him.

Disagree. I wrote a bit in another thread about this, but BPV sums up my feelings on the penalty entirely. He's a competitor, he has some fire, and it's damn nice to see.

Many UT fans are just bitter, bitter people right now (understandably so) and are looking very hard to blame someone. If you want to hinge it on one 15 year penalty then you are certainly overlooking a whole slew of other issues.....issues that have nothing to do with AF.

If it hasn't been said yet, the reason Creer doesn't get more carries is because Foster's "pass protection" is better and he can catch better out of the backfield, according to coaches. I guess they'd rather have that with a QB that can have all day and still screw it up instead of a potential home run threat in the game.

it amazes me that this guy is probably going to break ut's all-time rushing record. nothing against foster, but when i think no.1 rusher in ut history, foster doesn't come to mind.

I don't see Emmitt Smith as the NFL's best running back, but he's on top yardage-wise. It's not a big deal.

good point. It was a much bigger deal back when the best runner, Brown, held the record and when another all time type was chasing him. Now it's more about longevity.

It's amazing how we see some of the homerun threats as the greats, but someone that grinds it out and is undersized doing it isn't Top 5 material even though he has records.

Jim Brown wasn't a home run threat. He was a beast.

Emmitt was a good runner behind the best offensive line ever assembled. He was never the best back in the league even at his best.

Agreed on both.

Barry Sanders had an awful O-line and still put up better numbers than Emmitt, he just quit while he was ahead.
