Each WNBA team is owned by an NBA team owner. Besides direct subsidy, the ESPN NBA TV contract includes a WNBA contract. The salaries are controlled and the highest paid is just a little over $100K. It is social engineering at its finest. In all seriousness, what kind of subsidizing is going on with the WNBA? There’s no way that League has stayed in business by popularity alone. Don’t believe me? Name 5 people in your inner circle that follow the League. I’ll wait
good research. gives us some hope for that game.More on the offensive line and being able to run the ball. In 2015 when McElwain took over the Gators his first mission was to find enough bodies to man the offensive line. That year the Gator rushing attack amassed a whopping 3.48 yards per carry leading to a 14th place finish in the SEC. Mac’s second year, the year we beat them, their rushing attack improved to 13th place with 3.69 yards per carry. In his 3rd and final year, the rushing attack improved to 10th place at 4.30 yards per carry. Last year, Mehlen’s first, their ground game improved to 4th place in the conference at 5.27 yards per rush.
Guess what:
As we learned with the James gang in the early Dooley years, it’s not so much about coaching, it’s arguably more about giving 18 year old boys time to grow into 21 year old men because that’s who they are often fighting on the other side of the line of scrimmage. We may be just a tiny bit ahead of the Gators in rebuilding our offensive line and given that normally between us and them, the team that wins the rushing stat wins the game, I'm calling it now. We will upset the Gators in the swamp on the 21st of September 2019. Fitz, don't let me down.
I keep seeing this on various State message boards and do not get it. No one has seen enough of Shrader to make that judgement.
Starting as a true freshman in the SEC is extremely hard. Evaluating a QB out of hs is even harder. Shea Patterson was the #1 ranked QB coming out of hs, and he’s been a very average college QB.
Shrader did not play in a very competitive league in North Carolina.
I feel pretty confident it's not going to be KT. Shrader followed Moorhead from Penn State. He has already enrolled and 15 practices in. I believe he ran the RPO in high school.
Why all the negativity towards KThompson?
We have not really had a fair chance to see him. Two games , one bowl game and a weak opponent this year.
He looks to be a great athlete and a very capable QB. I just don’t see a True Freshman starting over him. KT would appear to be a good fit in Moorehead’s offense. Plus he will now have two years in his system.
We will see but I hope it is KT. Bryant did not really impress me so I am glad he ended up some where else.
It's not negativity. It's just signs I see. It might not mean anything. Why didn't Moorhead make a QB change during the season? Fitz was the best option? Why did Moorhead go after Byrant if Thompson was the guy? Thompson got one snap at quarterback during the bowl game. The only reason he got that snap was because Fitzgerald helmet came off. He got a snap at WR and at RB. Is it just a bowl game or is that a sign? Idk the answer to either.
