I sit around two UGA grads and a Bama grad at work. When I saw the news on VN today I randomly bought up Ansley to see what they thought of him as a coach, knowing they would praise him but probably hadn’t hear the news yet. The Bama grad went on to talk about how great he was but he was coaching in the NFL now and that was his dream otherwise he’d still be at Bama and then one of the UGA grads said, “Nah, Kirby will hire him away from the NFL, just wait.” They then argued about whether he would come back to college and if he did, which of the two he would prefer. I finally stopped them and said, “Well, turns out he prefers UT over both your bum schools. Pruitt just hired him.”
I then walked off just like this:

Was looking at the transfer portal and noticed Tyrone Wheatley Jr. listed as a 6'6 280lb TE. That's a big TE. Kid should consider becoming an OT or switch to the DL.
SIAD....you guys think Pons being out hurts us as much as I do?
I was already thinking we would have troubLe with one of the next two (trap games before UK)
Extremely good hire here.
Pruitt is building it the right way, for sure.
People gonna learn very quickly that UT is getting more right than wrong, and is gonna be competitive much sooner than expected....most can only look at what UT/Pruitt did last year, and not what they can do w/ competent staff...better take them seriously
Smh. This changes my whole outlook on the Warren hire. If this dude was willing to go to Tennessee then he damn sure was gonna be to Athens. We should have hired him
Good hire. Pruitt knows he need alpha recruiters. He's now got Ansley, Niedermeyer, Tee, and himself that are all great recruiters.
Pruitt is putting together a very legit staff of proven recruiters and winners. UT is finally committed and giving him the tools to work with to be in the hunt. UT does have some challenges geographically, but it won’t surprise me to see them finish with a top 5 class this upcoming cycle. They have some STUD recruiters on that staff now.
Niedermeyer just won recruiter of the year on 247. Friend just signed two 5 star OTs. Kelley has a strong track record as well. Rocker and Sherrer have inked their fair share as well. They have some proven recruiters on that staff. If they are able to put some wins together they will be dangerous on the trail.
Tall order or not, the young guys may be the best options we have on the oline. Pruitt will start the best players.
I think Darnell and Wanya will both start by the Florida game.
