I don't think much of the team even likes the guy much less look to him to lead us to victories.

I know there was some narrative post-2017 about how he and someone (Jennings?) butted heads and that the air was cleared before fall camp. How true that is, is up to opinion. It's relevant to the health of team chemistry, which translates to wins on the field, but I think the idea of the OL not blocking as hard for him as they would've for someone else is asinine. Also, Auburn last year was basically entirely on JG standing in there and delivering against a super talented front 7.

Am I missing your point or something?

I've been popping in and out over the past several weeks trying to keep up with expectations for tomorrow and have been getting things lined up on my end to enjoy the day - one way or the other. I figure the best way to approach the event is with some good Tennessee Whiskey - it works in good times and bad, and an appropriate musical playlist. I've got the whiskey and am working on the playlist. I want to be ready for anything.

when I hear the Tennessee Waltz, I always think of Bruce Pearl weeping during his first time back to TBA, after being defeated by our VOLS. I wish I could find the video of that, because it showed how much he loved Tennessee and how much he felt he lost.

I don't care how many years we lose-- VOLS are a special breed. We have the greatest fans, many of the players that have come here are the most unforgettable in sports. Hope we find another Manning, Berry, Reggie White, Barnett, Grant/Schofield/Bone, Kamara, Dobbs in this group of recruits coming in.

He definitely would, and I have a special place in my heart for him, but Rick Barnes is perfect. I wouldn't trade him for any other basketball coach. High character and great teacher.

Agreed. Barnes is our guy and will be until he retires. He's exactly what we need. Getting the right person at the right time makes all the difference.

Have wonderful memories of the Pearl era but i'm taking Lanier. No guarantee he would continue the success Barnes is having but I am loving everything about this basketball team.

Seeing Art Briles name come up at southern miss makes me wonder why he hasn't looked to NFL with how they all want to revolutionize offense.
