I'm not sure how your saying posters are perving over a players' physique every year as if that has something to do with football does not mean that a poster needs to give a disclaimer when posting about a player coming in looking like RH. Because if there is not a disclaimer they will get a reminder of what you just posted, or worse they will be called a perv as before. We want both.
Wut?

Ive never found it...tell me more...

It is kinda obvious, you don’t answer your phone, respond to the email, unsubscribe, etc. Can be tougher in person, but still doable.

Life is too short to endure idiots. Enjoy your life without them...

The ignore feature on VN is fantastic when used. I scroll by the posts about things I don’t care about. It’s the incessant cries for attention by arguing and the beating of dead horses that I ignore.

Just my opinion

Meh. Scrolling past stupid posts exerts little energy. Most of the time it gets a chuckle. You are really missing out. Just my opinion

I don’t have an issue with anyone who thinks Barnes is the greatest coach we’ve had, but I think the “by far” doesn’t give enough credit to how phenomenal of a job Pearl did. He left with some warts, is coaching another conference team, and there is no way I would trade Barnes for Pearl at this point, but until Barnes matches or exceeds Pearl’s E8 run, I think the argument could go either way.

Can’t speak to Mears, which probably isn’t fair, but his tenure is nothing more than an abstract to me. He’s definitely passed Wade.

Valid point. I think Barnes has been a better X and O’s coach and player developer. Pearl had a lot higher rated recruits that played for him during his time. Like already mentioned, no player on this current team was ranked in the Top 100 coming out of high school.

Just going to espress some thoughts here and open myself up as a target concerning recruiting in a second:

Before that I have to say I am loving this group of guys we have for BB. They are the epitome of an old school classic basketball team. They are truly a a TEAM, not just a collection of 1 and done’rs. Coach Barnes has been tremendous here and I look forward to watching this team in the tournament. CRB shows what a good coach can do with less than ***** talent and HW, ( can not use the C because it does not apply ) shows what ***** talent does with no coaching. We were gifted CRB and should appreciate how lucky we were to get him after Tindell and all the other mess.

Now here comes the point for some to flame away.

CJP is not going to hit it out of the park on NSD. We will close with a ***** it looks like and who knows who else. Yes many of us were excited about HT but does not appear now that it will happen. We will not close the gap very much on the 3 rivals ahead of us we face each year unfortunately. I do feel we closed the gap some with this class so we can become competitive in our games with them. However, you have to go after the same caliber of player as they are to close the gap. We have tried and missed on a few. Even Bama misses on some players they want, it is just that there are just so many good players that want to go there that the ones they miss on can easily be covered by another elite recruit. CJP has recruiting chops, we missed on some players and maybe slow played a few to long. CJPis trying to recruit like he was still at Bama, but we are not in Bama’s league currently.

He is recruiting the right kind of players we need, but maybe he is learning that recruiting here is a little different than Bama. I want think he is. I think that he is building the relationships with HS coaches so that they can see his vision for where he wants this team to go. I am already excited for 2020 class.

I think we have a very good group of coaches, we will see if they can develop the talent like coach Barnes has in BB. If they can, we will be in good shape and in a couple of years competitive with everyone, winning most of our games and not getting boat raced. If we get to that point then it will be easier to get a few more elite recruits to join us. There are a hundred schools that would love to have a top 15 recruiting class this year. This is just my opinion here but we have recruited more lineman and “grunt” type players this cycle out of necessity and those players do not in general, again this is in my opinion, garner the stars that QB’s, WR’s and RB’s do. If you look at our immediate needs I think this class is top notch, we have addressed most every immediate need for lineman and DB’s with LB being the one area we did not do as well and that depends on how Couch works out. I am courious to see who we do sign this week, but I do feel overall we got better this recruiting cycle and that what it is all about. I know many are disappointed with the NSD close as it currently looks, but many of those same people would be complaining if we were not trying to recruit the elite players. They would be on CJP because we are not recruiting the ” * power” we need. We are not elite right now whether people want to admit it or keep living in the past and thinking that Tennessee can get any recruit based upon our TRADITION. We will get back to where we want to be, it is just not a quick fix procedure. GBO, and a VOL TILL I DIE.
